phew. Interesting stuff. England have had 2 chances and scored 2 goals. You can't argue with that
terrible defending for all 3 goals IMO. England really went to sleep, before Karen Bardsley made a Horlicks of it
Jill Scott unusually invisible. Carney looking capable as ever, as is Farah Williams. Lucy Bronze the stand-out for me though
not at all dull - come on the Lionesses

Scott has one good game out of every three for England.
Taylor has been the stand out, makes so much of a difference pressing hight.

I've only ever seen Jill Scott's good games. Taylor's influence has wained in the last 20 minutes - England have dropped off too far, leaving her isolated I think

Disappointing sneer at Ecuador by the presenter there. Is it Jacqui Oatley?

Very, very proud.
Great to see my pal Shiv get her WC debut. Loved the emotion shown by Taylor at the end. Wonderful big bollocked performance. They may not have the talent according to some but they have the heart and determination.

I am finding it so much easier to support these women who obviously really enjoy what they are doing, than the over entitled rich brats who turn out for the mens team (obviously Ricky Lambert is exempt from that criticism on his rare forays off the England bench)

'Big bollocked performance', i like that but it seems to me that they have talent coming out of there, er, well you know what I mean. Bring on the World Champions it was a bit nervy tho

PS a Taylor who runs around a lot and works hard. Who'd have thought it?

PS a Taylor who runs around a lot and works hard. Who'd have thought it? And a manager who is criticised for his 'tinkering'! Really enjoying this World Cup, the enthusiasm for the game is infectious!! C'mon England on Wednesday!

I'm not being sexist but who actually thinks the women's football is anywhere near as interesting as the men's game to watch? I've watched odd games of women's football on TV and think it's ok but nowhere near as good to watch. If the women's team were put up against a men's team what level in terms of tier on the pyramid would you think would be a fair enough match? Of course women should be allowed to play football and the world cup etc should take place I'm not against women's football at all but why don't we see mens netball for example? You can't change nature, men are generally stronger, faster and can hit a ball much harder so surely by definition it's never gonna be as exciting as a spectator sport.

Good news for the Women's WC as I see the BBC to drum up more viewers have started a new advertising blitz, apparently it's called Wimbledon.

Football isn't just physical though, there's mental and psychological aspects as well. What the women's game lacks in one area, I think it more than makes up for in the other 2.

There's been so many more screamers in this tournament for some reason. They love shooting from miles out.
