Lines was always class. Like most Rovers players with a football brain, if he doesn't run around chasing keepers down and lost causes, he isn't trying. Some players are about running (Sinclair, Campbell). Some are about arriving late in the box, carving a pass through and dictating the game.
Turning this on its head, its more like fans blame the guy who doesn't run around like a headless chicken in a losing team.

I am sure some thought Lines was crap first time round. Myself and others thought he had ability but didn't always show it or use it enough. fancy turns on the edge of our own penalty area did not impress anyone I'd wager, but the once a game surging run did
He is a better player for going away, more experience etc and knows what to do and when better now
