....and where does Darrell run to celebrate? To us! Legend. And where was DC at half-time in extra time?? NOT in with the players that's for sure. NO ATTEMPT to motivate, admonish, gee-up, inspire, re-emphasise tactics etc ....nothing. He's some sort of end, but not a leg-end. Absolutely astonishing. You are clearly on a wind up.

You can't please all of the people all of the time (?) Can't believe a comment like you've made, scottish. But this is a forum and you're entitled to your opinion however stringent it may appear. I am left wondering though...

A couple of my observations about the puddy "sending off" firstly, having watched it again I think he tried to keep his arm in, indeed if he'd have stretched for it I feel he would have been sent off. Also, he wasn't in the semi circle, but out towards the touch line, or at least on his way to it and with McCrystal on his way into the box it would have taken a wonderful finish to get that over puddy and into the net from that angle, he was no richard walker was he? But having said all that I wouldn't have blamed the ref if he had have sent Puddy off

I thought Taylor got his shiner from incident with keeper, I remember the commentator saying something about an eye gouge by Pearson(?) when he was holding Taylor's head... ten mins later Taylor's eye starts swelling up. Couldn't see anything myself from the replays. Both Puddy and Taylor seemed really riled up from the start, fortunately Puddy settled but Taylor didn't seem himself. Puddy should have seen red but given amount of decisions that have gone against us this season from crap officials maybe we deserved a bit of luck! Anyway, who cares, the Gas are back!!!! I thought that too at first, but the commentator was just guessing with his "eye gouge" comment. I replayed that incident today plus the penalty/dive one and it was definitely in the latter that he hurt his eye. No problem with it previously, but he hit the ground pretty much face down and started rubbing it straight after. (Sad to say, having replayed the first clash many times in an effort to find evidence that he wasn't play acting, it's clear that in reality he was. He took no blow to the face whatsoever. Put that along with the diving and it's not what I like to see in a Rovers player. Great that at last we appear to have real team spirit again, but I'd hope DC will encourage the players to be more honest in the way they approach the game in future.)

But having said all that I wouldn't have blamed the ref if he had have sent Puddy off I disagree Puddy clearly mistimed his run, found himself stuck in no man's land, then stuck out his arm to try and stop the shot, whether it would have gone in seems immaterial as by his actions Puddy surely stopped an attempt on goal? Also if the shot had been on target McChrystal would have never got back to clear it off the line. Having said that the Grimsby goalie should have gone for a clear trip on Taylor and also Palmer, who had a shocking first half, should have gone for his rugby tackle on Harrison having just been carded. At the end of the day it was a typical performance by a Conference ref but we probably got lucky for a change.

Funny, just before I logged on tonight I saw a picture of Taylor landing on his face after the "trip" / "dive", so yes, you're right.
