Every pen was excellent.
....and where does Darrell run to celebrate? To us! Legend. Nuff said.

Amazing viewing and the reactions when that final penalty went in from the players are a joy to watch! Lines going straight to fans and McChrystal sinking to knees!
Why arent there any highlights of the other talking points though...I want to watch Puddy "sending off", the penalty decisions again and see what I make of them. I also suspect that Blissett was onside when put through towards the end.
In terms of their goal, weak header from Mansell (who put in a great shift), but Lines needs to chase back property (Mansell overtakes him!!!) dont get me wrong, Lines was EASILY my man of the match and one of few players who didnt seem fazed by the whole occasion, so it is nothing more than an observation on the goal that they scored.

Blissett was miles onside at the end. The Lino didn't seem to deal with the fact he was crossing the defender and he would have been clear on goal.
I thought Puddy should have been sent off. And despite what the pundits said Taylor was fouled by their goalie. He was tapped on the ankle. Why go down when clear through? However, I thought Taylor played acted alot, although I thought that when he was holding his face after the close encounter with the goalie, but had obviously been hit in the eye given his shiner.

Thanks for that manchestergas, I was gobsmacked when Puddy was only shown yellow from the one-viewing I have had and obviously not seen replays of anything else either at this time. Sounds like it was errors galore!

Agree with above - Blissett at least a yard onside! I also didn't see anything much in the Taylor 'bundle' incident, but again given his swollen eye clearly something happened. I also thought he got fouled for the penalty and each team should have been down to 10 men, what with Puddy's handball outside the box.
Sod it, who cares though? Thought Lines was immense and was MOTM for me, pure class.

Sounds like it was errors galore! I was amazed Puddy stayed on. He had his arms up and effectively saved it. I really dont know what he was thinking. He got better as the game went on but made a number of erratic dashes from his line early doors. He is realtively good on crosses despite his apparent lack of height but I am not sure as a defender I would be that confident with Puddy behind me. Good cover goalie. Also I though Parkes and Lockyer were all over the place first 20mins, then they just closed up. With coaching I think Blissett will be good player. He is quite intelligent in his runs and quite skillful.

Agree with pretty much all that MG, but have watched the rerun a couple of times and Taylor's shiner came from the "DIVE" incident, not the earlier run-in with the keeper. When he went over for the pen that never was, he landed heavily on his face! Must have hurt, then got booked for his troubles!

Yes, agree the swollen eye caused after the tap-tackle from the goalkeeper. How could this ever be faked and be diving on purpose?? :-) www.facebook.com/officialbristolrovers/photos/pb.114130001994558.-2207520000.1431954151./855262604547957/?type=3&theater

There was no doubt in my mind it was going in when Lines, Taylor, Brown walked to the spot. Balanta casually stepping up terrified me especially after Grims missed theirs, hadn't seen him deliver a dead ball this season as soon as it crept into the corner I knew we had won it with only Mansell left to go.

My first reaction was that Will Puddy had been treated harshly by the ref, but on viewing it again (many times), and with the benefit of TV, I now agree that he was lucky not to get a straight red. Lucky for us eh? Some you win, some you don't.

He is from Columbia though so as a kid he probably practiced penalties as a drugs war ebbed and flowed across the pitch with bullets flying. I must admit when I saw him step up, I thought God. However, I was at Wembley in Euro 96 England v Spain and when Pearce stepped up I thought God, turned out not too bad.

Full highlights? I've paused it to comment and all I've seen is the two goals and the first penalty in the shootout. Where is the Puddy handball, where are the two rovers penalty shouts? Not sure this qualifies as 'full' highlights haha! Do they show the other interesting highlights in the rest of the video?

Sorry Rich I dont consider those highlights, but my production team will reinstate them in our state of the art editing studio. I think my camereman must have gone for a crap when those incidents occured.
I accept 'full' was maybe a slightly mis-description.

....and where does Darrell run to celebrate? To us! Legend. And where was DC at half-time in extra time?? NOT in with the players that's for sure. NO ATTEMPT to motivate, admonish, gee-up, inspire, re-emphasise tactics etc ....nothing. He's some sort of end, but not a leg-end.

I thought Taylor got his shiner from incident with keeper, I remember the commentator saying something about an eye gouge by Pearson(?) when he was holding Taylor's head... ten mins later Taylor's eye starts swelling up. Couldn't see anything myself from the replays.
Both Puddy and Taylor seemed really riled up from the start, fortunately Puddy settled but Taylor didn't seem himself.
Puddy should have seen red but given amount of decisions that have gone against us this season from crap officials maybe we deserved a bit of luck! Anyway, who cares, the Gas are back!!!!
