That's bizarre. That's one thing we could do as well as Arsenal and without it actually costing anything. Very poor if we can't even get basic stuff like that right. Can we blame this on the board as well ?? :naughty: Certainly can. They are all being force fed Snackboxes.

I was just surprised, most coaches have a basic knowledge of nutrition as it is a part of coaching courses and it,s not hard to look into it further and pass on the information to our youth players. If it's not being done now, it needs to be.

It is not beyond Rovers to get a nutritionist in for a day and to show players a spot on sports diet for the season. A good diet for sport is nothing new for goodness sake,it's been around for decades now! i think PT had a nutritionist because i remember reading a post on the OF about his "diet" for the team... Lots of Carbs i believe before & after the game They must get regular advice on diet, whether they adhere to it is another thing though. At the end of the season before they go away they have their BMI taken and are given a diet and fitness regime to follow whist they are away. BMI and fitness levels are checked at the start of pre season training which shows up those who have been on the p*ss.

Can we blame this on the board as well ?? :naughty: You can if you want. I just commented on what I thought the guy was trying to say in the article. Maybe the food in the Rovers training camp is a great example of what you should be eating at home, and the food in the Arsenal training camp is a great example of what you should be eating at home, too. Just seems a weird thing to bring up in an interview if that's the case, though. And decent nutrition doesn't cost anything. Having a new-fangled nutritionist on a load of money might, but the basics are well-known and straight-forward.

Hopefully it is being done, he just made it sound like it was the first time he learnt what he should be eating at Arsenal. Not having a go, just said I was surprised at the comment.
