Great signing - hopefully Smith will follow suit.

Brown said on RB that 'the manager takes a lot of credit' for him staying '300 phone calls' from DC this week. 'I think the manager is very good, persuaded me to stay' 'Obviously I had other managers ringing me from other clubs' 'The manager knows what he's doing, perfect man for the job', impressed by previous records 'Hopefully we go into the first game of the season with the same back five'
Say what you like about DC, but I don't think his commitment can be criticised.

Absolutely gobsmacked but in a very positive way. Still we must have a rightfooted option for set pieces next season. Having only lee Brown as an option last year made it very easy for teams to defend.

This has given me abit of a lift concerning Rovers.A player showing some loyalty, great stuff and it feels like the first genuine good news for sometime.
I'm not attempting to put the mockers on it, because I want this good news feeling as much as anyone else, but why do you think the Board not said how long the deal is for?

Fair play to Browner. We've had better players in the past and loyal ones, but we've never been in such a s*** position before and had that sort of loyalty.

When I heard the news this morning, BBC Sport were reporting that the length of contract hadn't been made public. It makes sense if you think about it from the players point of view.

best news for a very long time.
well done everyone, especially Lee.
LB (left back) is one of the hardest positions to fill on the pitch, and LB fills the LB spot well :-)
i really rate this guy and despite a few people whinging about his corners, it is all positive.
what do people want in a player? This is what I want.
- fit - rarely, or never, suspended - keeps his gob shut off the pitch, isn't seen in Chasers on a Friday night, isn't charged with rape (even if later acquitted), isn't on twitter talking balls - loyal - has a brain - tries hard - eye for a goal, even if a defender - willing to learn / improve
LB seems to fill all these, and hopefully can kick on with the bottom one
We need to be careful what we wish for in a player. We seem to wish for more than that list about. We will rarely get it. LB has minor faults, but that should never get in the way of the positives he offers.

There has been no mention of the length of contract of either of the two new signings or Lee Brown on the official website.

Absolutely tremendous news; IMO he will go on to be a legend at BRFC. Said he signed because of the club and the support, enough for me. He is an excellent full back; the best signing so far . UTG

We'll done Mr Brown. It's this type of action which inspires others and is not often found in the game today.

There has been no mention of the length of contract of either of the two new signings or Lee Brown on the official website. DC said on Tuesday that both new players are on one year deals with incentives. I would imagine lee brown is on the same. One shot to get up. If we don't then we risk losing these players. After what we have been through, it is worth the risk IMO.

I hope messages can get to him somehow.

For the first time in months Browner has made we proud to be a Gashead. Perhaps there's life in the old club yet.
