I'm not....
I vowed I wouldn't go to another 'live game' whilst the current Board were in place and I stick with that.
As I said in another thread ...they have backed DC well with players in this season and that has restored some faith though but i'm no glory hunter or hypocrite and I will instead watch and cheer them on BT sports with my family. We are and always will be a ROVERS family.
Hard to explain to a nine year old who adores his team and I have honestly had sleepless nights over it since well before the last game of the season but I knew it could happen when I made the call a year ago and I am a man of principle.
I'm just hoping that Father and son will get another chance one day to see the Boys at Wembley under a different set up.

I'm not ......
I didn't check play off final date .... stupidly thinking Rovers would win the title !
Instead, my son is playing in a footie tournament on Sunday morning and as I'm the coach ............................... I have to be there. To be honest, I get more enjoyment coaching and watching him and his team mates play than Rovers (for most of this season) these days. Our club is called Bristol Pirates (good name eh !?)
Fortunately, tournament should finish round mid-day, so we'll both be shooting across to The Sportsman to watch it there. UTG !

You may know this, and of course I have no idea how old your son is, but the Sportsman doesn't usually let kids in. The Annexe does, but there's far fewer tellies (better beer though!)

Hi Astafjevs - I meant The Annexe - the conservatory to be precise - children-friendly, tasty pizzas, beer and footie - Well, maybe not the beer for my 8-year-old

I'm not.
Too expensive overall. Totally disagree with £41 a ticket for a non-lge game as well, especially when City JPT had some seats for £20 (plus fees)
I've had a great season. 25+ games. Taken its toll on finances though. Really great atmospheres etc. Lots of great memories that will stay with me forever, especially Aldershot, Dover, Alf, & FGR (both legs).

I agree it's expensive, but in my case I just have to find the money from somewhere (and I guess that's what the Conference are hoping people will do!). Big days out at Wembley don't happen very often so whilst it's a lot more than I think is reasonable for a non-league fixture (Playoff Final or not) I just have to be there and know I would always look back and regret not being there if we do win on the day. Fully respect your position though, times are hard for everyone right now.

Really want to go but my head is saying I can not. All to do with money, and I can not really justify the £150-£200 for a day out when that money could be better spent on the house / bills.

I'm going to be in Latvia, hunting down Mr Astafjevs to see if he wants to watch it with me in a pub somewhere!

I feel really disappointed for you, oxon. I've been there myself, many years ago now, but I can still remember it well. But then again, family must always come first.

Nope, really can't justify £200 for a day out, and not spending time with the kids (I have two girls who have no interest in football whatsoever, and a son who is 8 who isn't really bothered either). Plus it's only two weeks away, so I'll have to settle for BT Sport, unfortunately.

It does cost a fortune, but well worth the price to get away from the wife and kids for the day.

It does cost a fortune, but well worth the price to get away from the wife and kids for the day. And packing, and the dogs, and the mother-in-law (love her really), but who knows. Might just wait at the end of the A34 and thumb a lift, or actually get a bonus this month.

I'm not. I will not give any money to those grey suited dirtbags of the Football Association to pay for a crap stadium in the toilet called London. When the cabbage patch was dismantled the FA should have had the balls to move the stadium to the midlands giving every body an even chance of getting there. The FA is London centric and has no interest in anything outside of the M25. I will never give money to those short sighted w*nkers as long as I live.
