Booked the train to London, £60 return per adult, going 7:45am and coming back at 9pm, could grab a later one if needed. Going from Temple Meads..

I hope they've told you there is engineering works on a Sunday and you'll have to change to a coach at Reading? it will take best part of 3 hours!!! i got a national express coach 2 hours just over for £7 i go up every Sunday for college on a Monday, take plenty to entertain you!!!

Not as far as I understand it! Most trains 15 mins or so longer and only one out and back involving bus from PWay to Swindon (source - FGW). Where did you see Reading??

I go up to London every Sunday, and the last few weeks they've been doing engineering works at reading, operating a coach service to Paddington, now you might be alright on the parkway train, but best check with first great western, because according to trainline.com it's 3 changes on a Sunday and nearly 3 hours!!!!

Cheers. Just checked again and both Trainline and FGW (the operator) are showing all bar one service as direct, albeit 15 mins longer due to diversions caused by engineering work. We're booked on 0745 out and 1900 back - both circa 2 hours - will be in bar anyhow!
