Retiring? What is going to do. He isn't that old You try working 12-14 hours a days ....sometimes seven days a week for 16 years ....
He may have put a large wager on Rovers winning promotion in August at 25-1 so can happily retire on his winnings come 17 May !!!!

He must've burnt himself out after the joke of having a full team in treatment room a couple of seasons ago..
Good luck to him! True Gas servant..

Will be strange to see another physio after having the same one for so long. Steve Bissix has been at the club a long time, i wonder wheter he will step up from the youth setup into the first team.

Doesn't really matter though - it's going to be weird not seeing him in the dugout next season. He has been the only constant since our return to Bristol.

That's about 300 appearances even before friendlies

Ah when Kitey joined City...
Spoke to him at the Tote End reunion last weekend and he told me a funny story about that. He rang Ollie to say "Ollie, guess what?" "What?!" "I'm moving back to Bristol!" Ollie was delighted until he was told who he was signing for at which point Ollie just said "Sh*thead" and hung up. Kitey claimed it was all about moving back to Bristol and everyone at City called him Gashead.

That's about 300 appearances even before friendlies I stand corrected, but that really is a lot of Cup matches for a guy for who was basically a career number 2. Was there more a tradition of giving your backup keeper a game in the cups backs then perhaps?
