Am I wright in thinking we only have to strikers available now in Taylor and blissett? I know Harrison is a one game ban but with Easter out for the season I am worried that one injury to our current forwards then we're f**ked!

We do have the option of Monkhouse playing more forward if needs be....
I actually think that Blissett will pose more of a threat to the bullying Clough and Pipe.

He is a right winger, in theory who can also play up front. How about Gosling moving inside, or Bob?

On the subject of strikers, by my reckoning that was Taylor's 20th goal of the season (includes Dorchester).
And what a smartly taken one it was too.

Don't worry, Linesy will score a couple before the seasons out. It's preordained.

Makes you wonder why DC brought back those two loan players, Lucas, by all accounts, was doing well at Weston. Hopefully DC was pushing them on in training, and especially now that Easter is not available, which DC would have known earlier, should have developed at least one of them for the bench.

I would imagine he did it for the exact situation we find ourselves in now. If he didn't recall Lucas we would have no alternative, whereas we can now put him on the bench on Sunday. As you say, he was flying at Weston so should be confident enough to do a job if called upon.

i just spat my cider out through laughing At a risk of you choking - I would draft Leadbitter into striking role because of his pace if needed

DC knew prior to the Kidderminster game as I spoke to Dawson, after that game and he said Easter was out for the season and seemed genuinely surprised that I and we didn't know that. This is Bristol Rovers mind. We don't have ppl in charge who like us to know this stuff. In their defence it could be gamesmanship though, to let the opposition think he could play, I guess ?

There's this weird tendency among Rovers fans to lay into strikers who are actually basically decent for not being even better while at the same time overrating other strikers who actually haven't done the business but look good. I remember a clamour for Shane Nicholson to replace Richard Walker in our 2007 promotion year....

Can you remember that fat midfielder from Rochdale we signed, who was deemed useless and unfit after 2 games? His name escapes me.

That's an interesting point. I don't know too much about Jamie Lucas, except what I have read in the local press, but based purely on that I feel that he could be an ideal sub for us on Sunday. Then at least he could be used if he is required, and it would be a good experience for the lad, whether he comes on or not.
