So Nick Higgs has repeated the Dunford mantra, "without the board there would be no Bristol Rovers."
Just my own opinion, but it seems like this is the wrong way round. Without Bristol Rovers, Nick Higgs, Barry Bradshaw, Geoff Dunford etc would just be anonymous ageing businessmen. Rovers gives them their weekly ego boost; hob-nobbing with c-list celebrities in the box 1; contacts; a few hearty pats on the back at the lodge when others realise who they are. Without the club these people are nothing - that's why they won't let it go.

Don't also forget the cross over business they pass out to their other businesses and interest from loans they have made to the club based required due to their mismanagement.
I have a genuine fear that the club will not survive the next 5 years. What a sad sad end to over 130 years of history.

Arrogant, deluded fools. Maybe without these clowns and spivs we might not be a non-league club playing against part-timers. Still, at least the board are now operating at their level and should feel a bit more at home in their new salubrious surroundings.

In a way I suppose both is correct. If there was no board there would be no Bristol Rovers, but that does not mean the people on the board have to be the same.
I struggle to see how the board think that the way they are acting is going to help the club in any way at all.

This is the bit that woories me, They surely spoke about what they would say at lasy nights meeting and what not to say... You would think the biggest aim for them would have been not to make matters worse ... be seen/heard to say the right thing and a bit of damage limitation would be there aim Oh No .. not our wonder board... not even a keep quiet and ignore compliants .. they went for the attack but scored an own goal 'without us they would be no Bristol Rovers ' 'Relagation was not thought about/budgeted for as a possiblity as we were only in bottom 2 for 70 mins' the board is the right one and got us where we are today!' Having admitted the Finance director had effectively not done his job ... we got this We cant afford a CEO yet and anyway Toni Watola does that job for us already ! (yep the same finance director who doesnt plan the finances at all) WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? is this some sort of plan to finally kill the club ? to divide the fan base even more ? to cause such outrage that they can hide something else at the same time?
