The news today is both encouraging but a real shock to many Gasheads. I am sure we could sell another 1,000 tickets easily. However: I have noticed the overall capacity have reduced to just over 11000 from 12100 v West Brom a few years ago. This is because the south West stand have been removed and part of the south stand reduced. Now I know it may be too late now. But would any other sports club work around the clock to install 600 seats in South West stand and 400 back in the South stand . They don't need to be covered and could be installed in two days. The income including (others) will be £20000 plus. Is it worth doing to make another 1000 Gasheads happy

How much would it cost the club to get this done?

I would imagine it would need new permissions for the increase in capacity...

You could put up a temporary stand in two days...
.......but it would take three years to get through planning, judicial review, contract disputes........er, No.

Just don't understand why we cant do same as Alfreton match and designate south stand for away fans.
Give them 900 allocation and any unsold tickets we can sell and move the segregation netting.
In other grounds, a line of stewards is good enough segregation, why cant we push to maximise capacity?

Don't need planning permission. It was granted for the South West stand and extended south stand . As long as we don't exceed 12100..

As anybody tweeted BSS to ask why this can't still be done/wasn't planned already in advance?

The SW Stand did not affect the licenced capacity of the ground when it was in place

As anybody tweeted BSS to ask why this can't still be done/wasn't planned already in advance? I'd almost forgotten about BSS in all the excitement of the promotion push. He's been very quiet for a while now, on both main forums. What does he actually do nowadays? He may be very busy doing "stuff", but what is that, recently? Genuine question!

Put up a yurt in the South East corner for FGR and give us all the South Stand?

The SW Stand did not affect the licenced capacity of the ground when it was in place Correct, they just reduced the capacity of the then Blackthorn Terrace to compensate. It was erected for the rugby team who were getting requests by their supporters to increase the number of seats available, seats attract more income than terracing too. I watched the first leg of the play off from there against Lincoln in 2007
