Hi,
Grimsby fan who has posted a couple of times on here during the season. Wanted to just send a quick message to your fans ahead of the playoff. Was gutted you couldn't get up automatically on Saturday. Am even more gutted that the only way we can play each other next season is if we are both still in the conference.
If you go up after one year and we are still here I will be too bitter (unfairly as you don't deserve it) for a long time to post any congratulations. If we go up I won't post on here for a while as I never want to be that guy who would show off to other fans. However I thoroughly enjoyed my day out at the Memorial on the first day of the season and want you to get back in the football league asap, just obviously not this year.
So ahead of the playoffs wanted to send my best wishes to you. I hope it maintains a positive atmosphere and hope that you have a great season next year, and I hope you can get FGR to sort out your ticket situation more fairly than it looks like they are doing atm.

May the best two teams get to Wembley.
And then may we win.

Cheers. I can only imagine your pain. In all honesty, I hope I don't get to feel it first hand. You deserve a medal!

Thanks and we appreciate your genuineness. I hope that's reciprocated from our side too although as I'm sure you'll realise we have our fair share of numpties who won't think like you and think it's their right to engage in what they term as 'banter' on opposition forum's, a number of us however think it just in bad taste. On the ticket front, there are some rumours (it could be bluff from FGR we're not sure) that they have identified a thousand tickets bought by Gasheads on line that they are going to void to prevent them getting access to the stadium (they have a posh electronic ticket entry system !). They've shut down their on line ticketing arrangements to stop anymore being purchased and now require purchasers of tickets to go in person with a utility bill and a driving licence or passport to prove they are supposedly genuine FGR fans. It appears our fans attempt to get more and more tickets has brought their ticketing arrangements to a standstill, quite funny really. They were also attempting to sell them at local outlets like the Post Office, local village shop and we were buying all those up as well. I guess we just love our club and will go to many lengths to source tickets but I just hope there isn't any trouble by some of our fans who turn up with one of the tickets that have been voided and are refused entry. So best wishes to you too and good luck if you are the team to go up.

Bridgeman not wishing to hijack this thread, but reading yours it occurred to me, what if those 1000 gas heads turn up and have their tickets voided? it would be a mare for the police and a health and safety issue surely ? Just wondering

Just wondering I guess you're not the only one wondering, many of those of our fans who have purchased tickets online will expect to be able to collect them unless advised otherwise by FGR. I can only speculate the trouble there could be if only a few hundred of our fans turn up and can't get the tickets they're expecting let alone a thousand, there's sure to be 'trouble at mill' !
