We played proper football on the floor for the full 90 minutes and look what happened. We thrashed a poor side - but I would suggest not much poorer than Dover or Dartford. So why did we persevere with hoofball against this sort of opposition for so much of the season? If only we had played like this against Dover. FGR are obviously a step up from Alfreton - but please DC - keep that starting 11 and keep the ball on the floor. UTG.

I rather Sinclair (if fit) play RW instead of Gosling.
Tin hat on.

I would like to think DC wants the ball on the ground. It seems in a game lack of control/confidence takes over as the ball bounces towards a player and instead of the old drill taught years ago of control, take a touch and then distribute or a first time short pass, the ball is hoofed away as quickly as possible. There were good periods where Rovers controlled the ball and passed well, but possibly because Alfreton let them.
PS Anyone see Sinclair on Saturday, the other week he was in playing kit and involved in things as he was at Telford?

Don't want to read much into that, but looks like we won't be seeing him on the pitch soon.

With respect I think its a bit harsh to compare Dover with Alfreton, one was relegated the other finished 8th ?
