Just like to say commiserations for this season. You've had a fantastic year only losing 5 games and that's something special considering it's very hard to go up at the first attempt in this league. Please don't take any trolls who might turn up on here too seriously. Normally the team who misses out on the title on the last day never go up but you must be the favourites. Good luck and hopefully we'll see you in the Football League next season.

Indeed well done, disappointed that Gateshead didn't make much of an effort apart from a couple of players but I wish you best of luck for next season. Well done, enjoy your celebrating!!

Teams finish the league in the position they deserve to finish, so well done Barnet, deserving champions.

Would be a farce if we lost out on Wembley to a village side obviously, but after the start we had to get to the last game of the season to get to the final game of the season with a chance of topping non-league was an incredible effort. Thanks for the sincere comiserations and good luck holding on to Mad Dog!

Do you think Martin will stay with you or do you think he'll be off again as soon as someone comes in with a better pay offer ?

Well done lads, can't do much more on the day than batter the opposition seven-nil in front of a conference record crowd. Hope it was a great atmosphere for everyone there despite the Barnet result not going our way. Play-offs won't be easy but we have the squad, the manager and the fans to do this. Lets get behind 'em!
Would happily cast FGR and Eastleigh into the conference for another year but can't help feeling a bit sorry for Grimsby fans who've been stuck down here for five years already. Wish we'd gone up automatically so both teams could conceivably have got promoted! That said, well done to Barnet for a great season and holding their nerve under pressure - proven themselves to be the best team over the course of the season.
On another note I have no doubt that Toni the Till is delighted with this outcome. More so if we get to Wembley and win.

Congratulations to Barnet, they held their nerve under some serious pressure. MA post match comments were a nice gesture.

Surprised Barnet bounced back from their dodgy spell but it could have been so different if last week's ref had awarded a free kick rather than a goal!

Surprised Barnet bounced back from their dodgy spell but it could have been so different if last week's ref had awarded a free kick rather than a goal! Swings and roundabaouts mate. We got a dodgy penalty vs Torquay to steal a point and Dover were denied a stonewall penalty at our place earlier in the season. there have been bad decisions all season, some in our favour and others not. Its just cruel that we had a dodgy decision against us in the 88th minute of such a crucial game so late in the season. So well done Barnet - they were top for pretty much the whole season and held their nerve at the end so I've no qualms about them deserving the title.

Could have been so different if todays officials at Barnet did their job right. Apparently 2 very bad decisions from them. Barnet was awarded a corner but tv replays showed it should have been a goal kick. They scored from that corner. Gateshead scored a perfectly good goal but was ruled offside when tv replays showed it clearly onside! Should have been 1-1.

I f******g hate being condscended. I don't mind a gracious winner. It's the ungracious winners I hate, like City fans. They win their first title since rationing ended [didn't they win it in 1990 though???] and are still having a pop at us.

A gracious winner would be nowhere near us this evening.

I f******g hate being condscended. No condescension here. You're a bigger club who easily could have won this league yourselves with the way you've handled this season. There's no real beef between us anyway. The good luck message is all good natured and sincere.
