I would like to think that there has been some planning going on for next season wherever Rovers end up,a plan A for a second non league season and a plan B for a return to the league. In either case I can see a pretty interesting and busy close season with quite a few players going and some coming in.
Obviously everyone on here wants Rovers to go up either automatically ( cant see it though ) or through the play offs ( a lottery ), but my big concern with promotion would be not coming straight back down, that would be a wrecker and frankly I would rather stay down now than for that to happen ( although we don't get to choose our preference).
Anyway best of luck to everybody involved with the club today, and if it doesn't go Rovers way don't be too disheartened theres still a second chance to do it.

If we go up we already have the basis of a decent squad, not going up and losing the likes of Parkes & Lines etc is a bigger worry.

Think the nucleus of the squad will be the same regardless of what league we're in. Think Gosling, Balanta, Trotman (purely for fitness reasons) and Baggie will be released and there's potential someone will come in for Parkes and Harrison.
Assuming the last two stay, I think we'll need a centre half, a creative central midfielder and one, possibly two wingers.
Would be delighted if we could get Lines and Dawson in permanently.

I don't want to be negative today, just realistic,we will be lucky to go up with this squad let alone stay up,if we have failed to beat non league opposition 20 times ( I think ) this season, how will they compete a division higher ? if we go up we need better players.

Conversely, if Barnet go up, they'll have been beaten 10 times by non league clubs!! 5of them at home..

Almost no-one goes straight back down, such is the low standard of the lower half of League 2.
A winning mentality and a squad that did well last term gets you mid table at least.

If we go up I'd say another promotion would be more likely than a relegation
