In the past I may have been, at times, critical of the Board. Particularly after relegation to non-league football after almost a century and certainly for the first time in our lifetimes.
Of course, these criticisms were uninformed and without the benefit of a 6+ week internal review to look into the causes of our decline. I accept and agree with the view that there's no point getting an external perspective on what went wrong, and to keep the review 'in-house'. And now the results of that review are in it is clear that the Board are doing a great job and were in no way to blame for our relegation. So for that I apologise, and thank them because without them we wouldn't be where we are today (sic)
I've also unfairly criticised Toni Watola for not knowing the cost of going down despite us flirting with relegation all season long (and indeed for the last few years). I would like to unreservedly apologise to him too, because as he quite rightly said we were only in a relegation place for 70 minutes all season so there's no way we could have possibly anticipated going down ahead of the Mansfield game.
I'm pleased that the reason for our demotion has been identified and action taken to resolve this. It's all John Wards fault and so I agree wholeheartedly with his removal and public slating at the EGM. It was also his idea to move 'upstairs' with 6 games to go and was always the plan. So that's that sorted then.
Anyway, as you were. Onwards and upwards. It's good to have the facts laid in front of you and I, for one, accept and acknowledge that I was wrong and made a mistake about the way this club is run. It's also fantastic news we have a CEO overseeing things, the fans have been calling for it and the Board have listened - I'm sure Mr Watola will oversee a Phoenix like rise from the flames in his new role.
God bless the Board, and great news that the UWE will start at the end of Summer. Nothing to stop this now! Bring on the diggers!

I think the crap that came out of directors mouths last night at the SC EGM should have told even those sitting on the fence something about our useless BoD - Their arrogance knows NO bounds!
its always going to be someone else's fault, John Ward, Internet Warriors, 70 minutes against Mansfield, Kevin Spencer .... The list is endless.
sorry, but the club is doomed so long as they are part of it. Nothing good can come of it so long as these arrogant lunatics are still running the asylum.

I would just like to point out that although it was all John Ward's fault, this in no way reflects badly on the person who appointed him and managed him during his employment.

Trouble is that they know there is a brand loyalty that no other business has and would give anything for. Guess we have all shopped elsewhere when given bad service at a shop. But we all keep coming back no matter how bad the previous match/season. And I guess we will ( mostly) be there again next season. Not sure how we break that cycle?

Did they not day we would get a FOOTBALLING CEO once the Uwe is built? Can't afford one until then.

I am not saying it will not, just questioning if this pot of gold really does exist (for the record I am looking forward to maybe one day seeing the work start and more importantly finishing!).

in a strange way I now wish he'd been an objectionable so and so like Atkins and Buckle, as he would have got sacked before he had a chance to (virtually) take us down

They know that that brand loyalty will sustain 4,500 - 5,000 fans week in week out at any level and (within a certain band) whatever the cost so they might as well charge as much as they can and not worry too much about being in a higher league which increases costs. That plan is b0ll0xed slightly by losing £1.5m from dropping out of the league but anywhere between lg 2 - Ch'ship I think the logic stands. It's a cartel.

You spend your days trolling this forum and slagging us all off for being bitter at the board when its you that is bitter. You are clearly bitter and angry that forum members on here dont bend over and kiss your backside every time you pretend to have inside information. Get over yourself.

Think you need to seek medical help if you feel that bad - just because i say things you don't agree with there is no need to be nasty about it. Like you i'm allowed an opinion on any subject and i do respect a lot of peoples opinion on here, although i may not agree with it. If you read the OP correctly they are being "Sarcastic" towards the board by being completely opposite to his previous opinion on the board. My post was in the same vein. but you are being very vindictive and only read what you won't to read. The only way you will get any respect of any poster on here is to respect their opinion, something you very obviously cannot do

Just a gag. No jibe. Can't be bothered with bad blood on here. Just a laugh.

Also claiming to know things you dont and presenting them as fact. This is stirring things up.
