When he came on for his debut,I thought we had the new Pele, unfortunately he went downhill quicker than Pele's penis.

Steve Bruce is no muppet, so he can probably see a good investment here. Someone that he can coach to a good standard, and if that fails then off-load him to a non-Premiership club somewhere down the line.
I just hope that the negotiations (if there are any, given his situation) and transfer contract, are well thought through by our end.

Just put on Facebook that it's not true he is leaving Bristol Rovers. Obviously not the sharpest tool in the box.

Just put on Facebook that it's not true he is leaving Bristol Rovers. Thank God for that. He'd be one hell of an asset in this division and I'm sure of it. If anything, for the fact that he might be the first youngster we've had in years who doesn't piss on the club's face like Hunter and Harrison

Bye Bye Bristol Tomorrow! Good luck young man. To be honest as much as I think he may do well, he is to lightweight for the conference. If this was his tweet, he seems to have removed it. Good luck if he goes. Good luck if he stays!

Fee to be set by tribunal. The professional game's method for determining the amount of compensation payable for training and development of players under the age of 24 is through the Professional Football Compensation Committee (PFCC). The PFCC is incorporated under the rules of both The Football League and Premier League, and forms part of the collective bargaining agreement with the Professional Footballers' Association. The PFCC comprises of an independent Chairman, appointees from The Football League and Premier League (as appropriate), an appointee of The Professional Footballers' Association and an appointee of the League Managers' Association. PFCC hearings take place on an agreed date with each club required to provide evidence to support their valuation of the player in question. In making its judgment the committee will take into account the costs of both clubs in operating a Football Academy or Centre of Excellence, as well as the age and playing record of the player, the length of time he was registered with his original club, the terms offered by both clubs, the status of the two clubs, the substantiated interest shown by other clubs in acquiring the registration of the player and any amounts paid by the original club to acquire the player in the first place. Unlike FIFA's formulaic approach, this domestic process allows for greater flexibility in setting the level of compensation according to the merits of each individual case. In deciding on a compensation figure, it is not uncommon for the PFCC to set fees that build as the player becomes more established at first team level. Recent cases have seen clubs receive a basic compensation fee with further payments becoming due on the player's debut, following a certain numbers of first-team appearances and after international appearances. It is also usual for there to be a sell-on fee should the player be sold at a profit at any point in the future. www.football-league.co.uk/youthdevelopment/20081017/the-tribunal-system-explained_2293643_1423139

I am sure he will love his new home. Outstanding player, in his own eyes anyway.

So what will we get? I reckon a negligible amount of compensation & a string of add-ons that are never activated.

If his name was Graeme Thomas and was born in slough I doubt hull would be in for him or would of been anywhere near our first team last year.

I am genuinely shocked he has got this move, and having him off our books at all would have been a win. For us to get any cash for him at all is a bonus.
He is lightweight, can't beat his man and doesn't have a great attitude as far as I can tell.
Wish him all the best, but I am very pleased to have him off our books.

I think the lad will do well at Hull. People are forgetting that Ward stiffled our youngsters natural game by making them defensive minded. Mind you that is a Rovers thing in general over the last 8 years or so when they reach the first team. The lad is lightweight but does have talent, which was stiffled like I say. Hull will work on his crossing etc and proberbly loan him out but he will end up somewhere more lofty than Rovers.

In that case what was Santos' excuse for his performances against Torquay & Mansfield? Against, I think, Morecambe Harrison showed Santos how to put in a decent cross leading to Mo's goal. Perhaps given more space & time in the Premiership/thier youth set ups he'll look a better player as he offered little in the lwr leagues.

I'm sure it'll be a derisory fee as per usual! Well, it appears that the deed is done, and all that remains is to dot the i's and cross the t's, and that is what concerns me as the arrangements will be concluded by a tribunal. Like baldersgas I'm not expecting anything to be awarded to us that will set the world on fire, at least not initially anyway. It may well be that as Santos (hopefully) progresses there may well be more forthcoming. We'll have to wait and see, but as the player is stepping up from the Conference to a Premiership club I'm certain that this will be a factor in the tribunals thinking and decision. Looking to the future it could well set the yardstick for any of our other youngsters in a similar situation. Anyway it appears that he may well have departed the building, so good luck to him in the future, and I suppose that this is another players salary that can be re-invested in another player?
