But it isn't..... Can Barnet handle the pressure? Can we? I know who I would rather be playing in the last game and it's not Gateshead,if they can't beat kiddy who were very poor the signs are good for us And if we can't beat alfreton at home then we don't deserve to go up,I think we will and in some style Just hope we get a early goal and the message gets through to the hive and they start to panick get desperate and Gateshead with no pressure at all just play their passin game and frustrate them They will be out to spoil the party I'm sure and alfreton will have to go for it so that will leave it very open for us Let's stay positive gas what a day it could be next sat We can do it:) Utg

There is still a lot of pain from last season, with that frustration, and pessimism. Yes anything can happen, but with the scars we have, the belief is anything can happen, just not for us.
We need actions not words to get over last seasons hangover.

Indeed.
It's strange our last six results have mirrored Barnet's.
None of the top four have won the last four games, even against opposition you would have expected to beat.
It's a battle of nerves, a test of mental toughness and character....and the same for the players too as I was talking of the fans!
Come on you blues..

Yesterday we did that once. Optimistic?

IF we end up in the playoffs, after next Saturday, and results dont go our way, do you think we would lose the impetus and drive required to win over the first two games in the playoffs.

BBc states 6 shots albeit just 1 on target Really.....maybe those hoofs that went straight to their goalkeeper as shots? It was a lot more than six in that case. At least their goalkeeper kicked it straight out...that was the quality on display....and we failed.

Yesterday we did that once. Optimistic? Absolutely optimistic. One may be enough to seal the title. You just never know. Our form is extraordinary. Our away record has broken records. We are extremely difficult to beat, and I wouldn't want to be playing us in play offs. Yep optimistic, we can do it, we have an easier on paper match (no disrespect) on Saturday and we have a brilliant home record. Bring it on..

This is a complete reverse of last season. We are Wycombe and Barnet are us. Now Gateshead will get a dodgey goal in off the post from Dolin Caniel and it will finish 0-1. Meanwhile we will thrash Alfreton 3-0.

If Barnet had won yesterday (and by what it seems they could have done) then automatic would have gone. Time to think positive and get the win v Alfreton we require and see what happens elsewhere. Stranger things and all that...

I just hope that Macclesfield manage to sneak 5th over Forest Green and then Grimsby beat Eastleigh. That is if we have to do it through the playoffs.

Eastleigh played better than us on the day, but neither team beat us at their ground, and again v Eastleigh we had 10 men. Playoff games very rarely go the same was as their equivalent league fixtures anyway. Think back to the Lincoln games. We need to win next week to keep our heads up going into the playoffs, and if Gateshead manage to do us a favour, then that would be just fine.

I am absolutely gutted about yesterday and waking up today I just wish it was all a dream. We played so poor and I believe DC's tactics were to blame, as we were basically playing to their strengths and constantly hoofing it which they could deal with that far too easily! Anyway..trying to look on the positive side folks! What will be will be. We blew it yesterday that isn't going to change, we've just got to go into the last game, do our business and hope Barnet slip up again. If they don't then we move on and go into the play offs and try and win three games. You could look at it as if we still have two cracks at promotion now, one on Saturday and if it doesn't go our way then play offs it is.
Just remember it isnt over till that final whistle blows, anything could happen to Barnet on Saturday and vice versa to us. We could of won yesterday and then lose/draw next week so we could have been on a major high and then **** it up next week, where as now we're on a low and could go on a high when it actually counts. As someone has said on here before we were only in the relegation places briefly on the last game of last season and we went down. We only need to be in top spot for the last 10 seconds on Saturday and then we're up. Just got to look at it like that and stay positive. Its not over!

BBc states 6 shots albeit just 1 on targetOne shot on target resulting in one goal scored, over 90 minutes mind you. On the one hand it's an excellent return to have a 100% success rate, but on the other hand I just wished that we had shot more often. You never know we may have scored even more goals than the one that we managed, making the disappointment on 88 minutes irrelevant.
