As recently as last week Darrell Clarke said on Rovers own website, "I am confident of having a good playing budget", now this on its own is concerning, if mid June he does not know and the directors have not signed off the budget this is another example of poor directors unable to "RUN A BATH"
We have signed 2 additional strikers, to play alongside Brunt, Harrold, no midfield players but who will leave?.
Only idiots would have agree a relegation clause in OTooles contract so we lost out there( although I do not believe he is a team player).
Where is the revised , or a Business Plan, what have the directors done to give the fans a feeling that they have some ideas, none comes to mind, the fans need to see motivation in the actions of the players, management and directors, to date there is very little evidence, it seems that the board are not displaying good decisions and we the fans are paying for their poor decisions in the past.
As a fan for over 60 years and a season ticket holder of 135 mile round trip I am entitled to state the poor drcisions of directors, not 1 has left? DirectorsI all gasheads deserve more, when will you start showing us?

I think personally the board you have publically come out with the exact playing budget available to DC. It's what every other well run club does .......

He was a top signing on a free, so we didn't really lose out. I understood that J-J O'Toole's transfer fee was ''undisclosed,'' which means to me that it was on the high(ish) side. But even if we paid 1p for him, we would have not only lost it, but also any possibility of ''cashing in'' on his transfer out of the club. |

Do the board and manager actually know what they are doing?I should think the evidence speaks for itself on that one. Dumped from the FL, a doss house of a ground and in debt for millions to a bunch of men (?!) who claim they are sharp businessmen.

Being Rovers fans we know the score regarding the board and the club as a whole but what chance does Clarke have with Rovers?
he is governed by those Clowns and worse still, supporters who can't wait to have a little pop at every opportunity knowing what a shambles the club is.
Walk away from this poisonous club Darrel while you still have a few marbles left.

The manager knows what he is doing, unfortunately the board don't. The board set the budget & write the cheques, DC has a massive pair of handcuffs on him at the moment, not helped by a minority of fans who neither want him here or are moaning at everything he does. Judge the manager at Xmas, by that time we would have seen if his signings have been a success and if we are in a decent position in the league table, everything between now and then should be supported. I've been one of the biggest boo boys when it comes to managers, but this one feels right and although they are only words, he's the best talker I've heard in my 20 years as a supporter. If his actions and stuff on the pitch are only half as good then i think the good times will return next season.

I believe they can not give a fixed budget until they know what league we will be playing in,and it's also stalling the signing of players.
If by some twist of fate we do get to stay up,then it's no good signing a squad fit for the conference.I do not think we will get a reprieve and this worries me because another summer like the last two and an under prepared squad will see us struggle.
The sooner this Wycombe fiasco is sorted the better

There are plenty of out of work directors with experience at clubs like Coventry, Portsmouth, Hereford or even overseas directors with experience with Salisbury Is that what you would like instead of people with Gas blood in there veins ?? - na thought not |

To answer the question about the board my view is yes the board do know what they are doing. They are doing everything they can to get themselves out of the mess they have created by passing the buck to someone else. But the problem is that the illusion of the UWE is easily seen through and IMO the true picture is probably much worse than even the most pessimistic of us believe.
No effort was put into coming up with anything new or imaginative to appease fans at the SC EGM tonight because, again IMO, the current board are more interested in how they get out rather than how the club gets on.
