Good stuff. Nice to see a proper rugby team play a few games in Bristol for once. Bath have their own patch to play on

Seriously though, why are we helping them? They haven't done a single thing to help their neighbours in their hour of need. We should tell them to shove it up their jumper. If they want World Cup matches at their ground then that's fine, if they don't want to play at their own ground that's fine, but when they come cap in hand to a football club when they've shunned one on their doorstep? Screw those guys. Do you not think they're paying us?

We need the money ..could keep our youth academy afloat
...could cause us to drop some points if the pitch gets screwed by bad weather.

Roughly £11k a game then? Do you think it'll be £11k a game for a w**ky pre-season tournament during the World Cup? I'd rather not have 30 hippos running round on the surface and not help a team that is an enemy of football.

Not all the hippos run. It is the job of some of them to stand still and push against the other hippos. This is what damages the pitch. Plus hippos eat grass.

Where's that figure from? I recall someone claiming that having Franchise Rugby at the Mem was cost neutral while they remained in the 2nd tier.

From the top table when a fan asked the question at the Q&A session at the Mem during the summer I was the one who asked the question about the loss of revenue money which I believed was worth more like £350k but Toni W said no its only about £200k

Amazed at some of the anti rugby phobia on here...
and there was me thinking it is football that can learn so much from rugby as a sport, which I will argue till the cows, not hippos, come home!
show me a rugby pitch in the premiership which resembles a ploughed field

No strong feelings about this, but had to laugh at a brief encounter on fb with a friend of a friend (egg chasing season ticket holder) who described us as 'non league squatters' and went on about their 'partners' BCFC. I bit my tongue on responding with my real feelings out of respect for my mate but honestly, it was hilarious
