1. No surprise that Easter didn't make the squad but it certainly was a surprise that Leadbitter rather than Lockyer made way for McCrystal and Taylor being dropped to the bench for presumably Blissett.
2. First half was very scrappy although we did fashion a couple of chances that were well stopped by their keeper there was far too much hoofing and hoping.
3. Second half we were at them from the get go . A superb free kick from Lines and header from Ellls to put us ahead and the frustration that was starting to build in the stand was released in an instant.
4. Once ahead we were totally and utterly superior to them but with only one goal to show for it you can't help but worry that a calamity is only seconds away. But we need fear not. Ellis grabbed his second by anticipating their defenders error. A perfect strikers goal and the type of goal we have seen too rareley in recent seasons from our forwards. He was then replaced by Taylor to a standing ovation and Taylor then steamed in with the third with a perfect header from another perfect dead ball delivery from Lines.
5. We were superb second half and should have won by a lot more really given our total dominance . I don't know if that dominance though was down to our brilliance or Kidderminster's utter incompetence. Maybe a bit of both so the only down side of today is that I can't see any hope of Kiddy taking anything from Barnet when they go there on Saturday week.

So where do we think Barnet are going to drop 2 or 3 points? Or are they going to scrape by into the top place?

I thought we played well in the first half and should've been two or three up. Certainly no frustration where I was.

I thought we started sloppily, plenty of rushed clearances from the back and the midfield didn't do a fantastic job of protecting them. We grew into it as the half wore on, I was behind the goal so obviously hard to see what was going on at the other end but it looked like we were causing havoc from set pieces but just couldn't get the luck of the second ball falling for us kindly.
Second half was up there with the second half against Macc as being the best we've played this season, admittedly Kiddy didn't show masses of fight but our passing and high tempo attacking play was a joy to watch. In a way a bit of a shame our well crafted play couldn't have been rewarded, two goals were from set pieces and the other from a terrible defensive error (although fair play to Ellis for his anticipation). Not complaining though.
3 to go, you never know.

Draws against Halifax and Gateshead would be useful as whilst you would like to think we would beat Southport and Alfreton reasonably easily, the game against Dover could be a lot more difficult and we could drop 2 points there. It means if they draw one game we cannot afford not to win any of our last three games, who knows what's going to happen but it's damn well exciting. Two excellent goals by Harrison, why haven't we played him up front more often, he appears to be in the groove, takes up good positions runs off the shoulder of the last defender, is strong is difficult to move off the ball, has good close control and can finish with either foot or with his head.....what more could you want in a striker. Thought Blissett also played pretty well today and was unlucky with the two headers he had.

Yep completely agree how you saw it, particularly our central defence appeared very nervous in the first half. Good analysis of the game and like you still hoping

I rather think you're both right but was a stonewall penalty if ever I saw one

Brilliant atmosphere in our end particularly the good natured banter between the right and left sides of the terracing, I feel quite worn out by it all but it was a classical Gas away day to be remembered. It's a while since we sang virtually throughout the game and included a few newish songs to the Gas 'song book'. Well done Gasheads, you created an inspirational atmosphere, even the Police were friendly Just one bad mark to the dickhead that threw the bottle of water onto the pitch in the first half

It was a pen. Blissett kept fouling and was booked and missed a simple header while Taylor had a brief cameo appearance scored a superb goal and nearly netted a second. He did not deserve to be dropped/rested. Blissett's goal for Kiddy at the Mem which resulted in a draw meant TWO DROPPED POINTS ...Will those points cost us the title I sincerely hope not...Ellis, Parkes and Lines were superb today.

Thought Ellis was tremendous, Blissett played well; but for me, Chris lines was my man of the match. Overall a very good team performance. UTG

I personally thought every single player in a Rovers shirt, had an absolute blinder today! Particularly Mr Mansell, his energy, battling and never say die attitude for 90mins is something else for someone in his mid 30's!

My understanding was Matty was just being rested having played much of a full game on Friday and has played in virtually every game this season. You cannot fault Ellis filling in for him (well you could but it would be harsh I think, as he virtually ran himself into the ground). I was a little surprised that Matty didn't start but what can you say, it worked. Maybe Easter could be out for longer and he was giving Matty a rest. Nathan I thought did ok and was given a bit more freedom to play his attacking role in the 2nd half rather than just holding the ball up as he did in the first, there are times when he makes some really intelligent moves, flicks or passes so wouldn't be too harsh on him, although agree with you about the fouls he committed. However, there are plenty of other games where we have dropped two points for various other reasons so it won't just be that game at the Mem that costs us the title.

It is a squad game - one of the reasons we have gone so many games without defeat - there are not many players can play 46 games on the trot however much you like them
