Don't want to put a dampner on proceedings, but it was Easter Monday 79 years ago that Joe Payne did what he did for Luton against us.
Let's hope that we can create some goal scoring records of our own today.

Well, might have been an Easter Monday, but not exactly to the day date wise!

It was Easter Monday 17 years ago that a Barry Hayles inspired Rovers won 2-1 at Grimsby, the only team to beat them at home that season and the only visiting side to score more than once at Blundell Park. It snowed. Good day out that.

It was Easter Monday 2013 when we won at Daggers away in that freezing stand. JJ last match on loan and signed off with a goal..
That fella, Tonkoura (or whatever his name was) had a decent return too!

Easter Monday 1990 we were also in the west midlands. Drew 2-2 at Birmingham City.
Easter Monday 2007 we won 2-0 home to Bury.
In 1974 it looks like we played on the Tuesday and beat Tranmere 1-0 (4 days after drawing 0-0 at their place).

On this day in 26AD Jesus rose again. He was a big Gashead. Wasn't that Easter Sunday? Nah, the history books got it wrong. Someone got in the cave wheeled his body round to Easterville they left him there under IKEA. Amazing a whole religion is built on such an incident.
