The referee on Friday for the win over Chester was Rob Whitton. He also took charge of Rovers' other big win - the 4:0 over Macclesfield.
Unfortunately, away from home he hasn't been so kind. Barnet beat us 2:0 and Aldershot got a 2:2 draw against us, both under his supervision.

He is one of the better refs in the conference - which does not say much because they are all learners - but on both occasions at the Mem he was pretty good

Yeah, he didn't just hoof it up towards Taylor, he kept his head and played a measured pass.

Many of them have hit the ceiling, will never go higher and have stopped bothering. The good ones pass through fairly quickly I suspect

The Premier League referees have been abysmal this year.
