I also noticed George "Blue trousers" (the red ones were in the wash) Ferguson was a guest of Nick Higgs there yesterday. Is he being touted to design the revamped Mem ?

I wouldn't have him in the ground. Our mayor is a buffoon who is bit by bit destroying Bristol.

Unless you have moved in the last few days you cant vote for her anyway can you ? I have never voted Tory in a general election, but I am definitely thinking of voting for Charlotte Leslie this time, she is a much more active MP than I have ever seen here before and she is prepared to vote against her party on the NHS.

No I can't vote for her, but as the OP seemed to be asking a slightly tongue in cheek question, I answered in a similar vein. I am pleased you are happy with your local MP, there aren't many MPs these days who seem to have the backing of their constituents and Charlotte Leslie seems to have done a very good job of getting people on her side and of course you should vote for her if you feel she has done a good job. I too have never voted Tory and am unlikely to this time around. The party politics of today is desperately disappointing and I could easily see myself voting for a candidate rather than a party, as long as that candidate wasn't standing for a party whose main policies included things I was fundamentally opposed to.

I spotted him yesterday mincing about in his blue trousers. The guy is a complete joke. Sooner he is out of office the better for Bristol.

I am the one and only is a great song but I still can't believe she misses that one that came off the bar in the playoff final. It's like the "Good luck" bit in The Great Escape. Facepalm every time. I'm voting Official Monster Raving Loony Party in Bristol East btw. You know it makes sense. They're standing in Kingswood too

I am opposed to a lot of the policies of Lib / Lab / Con, but to be fair this lot have ( inadvertently I am sure ) come up trumps for me this time ie getting at some of my pension fund thus letting me take early retirement. I still wouldn't have voted for them though and I dislike Cameron and most of his cronies,so if I do vote Tory it will be for HER rather than them, its either that or spoil my vote as usual.

I don't drink in The Robins, balders....you'll have to be more specific. Ok he walks like he's been riding a horse for a week and has a 3 inch wide anus. I wonder whether he might make use of his attributes at half time as an alternative to the much missed cross bar challenge? he would be in no danger from Chester's no16!

I have never voted Conservative in my life, local or general, but living in Charlotte's ward and having met her many, many times,I think she has been an excellent MP for the area. I am considering voting for her this time around, and that is nothing to do with her involvement with Rovers. I would be voting for her and not the Tory party.

Win win then, not only does your vote get someone who lives locally and is active on local issues, but also it's one more vote towards preventing Balls and Milliband wrecking the economy, again.

Charlotte Leslie is a good MP. Period. If other politicians – of any other Parties - acted like her, then we probably wouldn’t have got so deep in the poo, and the NHS, education, banks etc etc would be better run. All Ms Leslie does is apply common sense. Simples. Yes, Red Pants (G Ferguson) was in the director’s box yesterday. I noticed that he wasn’t watching the match very closely, probably because he’s always in a gormless dreamworld and yesterday was no different. He was the rotten apple in the barrel yesterday, not our goalie or Matty T. And Ferguson’s blue trousers were no compensation whatsoever for the damage he has done to our great city.

Mind you, the daftest thing about this thread is that the first thing some people think of when discussing an elected representative and the desirability of her re-election is to go "phwooooaaar"

And unfortunately probably a few more who also don't understand how society (eg democracy, jobs, business) works.
He's good at spending our money though.
