A 23-year-old, winger/striker, formerly a youth team player at Brighton & Hove Albion and Crystal Palace. He is also a former player for Ryman Division One South side Eastbourne Town where he scored 96 goals in 54 combined appearances for Town's first team and youth team, his school and the England Schools setup during the 08/09 season. His form earned a move to Exeter City before the start of 09/10, where he made several first team appearances before a move to Forest Green, initially on loan and then permanently for the 11/12 season. In total he has scored 39 goals in 109 starts (19 sub apps) for Forest Green. England C international with 4 goals in 6 appearances. Are people really getting that excited about James Norwood that he's 'trending'? Jeez how far we have fallen...

Tweeted a picture of a roundabout in swindon just off the M4 junction 15, seems like there cutting accross and up to Cheltenham Town. The bloke seems like a right knob, don't think DC would be interested in him.

I thought it was roundabout near Avonmouth - oh well.
Most footballers are knobs.

Are people really getting that excited about James Norwood that he's 'trending'? Jeez how far we have fallen... It's a bit embarrassing really to be honest Wes. These players have a job to do and I won't be fawning over them until they have completed that job. Support them yes, get excited over them before they have even kicked a ball. No thanks. I saw a re-tweet from the club earlier from one fan who said that Taylor is exactly what we need. Really? Based on what? How can we even know what he is like before he has even pulled on the shirt for us? We can go on what he did at other clubs sure, but that really is irrelevant now. It's what he and others do for us this season. I wish the lad well, but the excitement from some fans is a bit too much for me.

The map says near Portsmouth to Bristol - with a stop in between.

We are Conference and we're getting good players from that league. Sounds alright to me. Better than getting a premier player from scotland that turned out to be kenneth

The bloke seems like a right knob, don't think DC would be interested in him. He's got a reputation as a party animal, a drinker and has had a fairly recent conviction for drink driving having been stopped at 3.45am by the police over twice the legal limit. He isn't even that good. Well over-rated IMHO. www.gloucestercitizen.co.uk/Forest-Green-Rovers-player-James-Norwood-drink/story-16744783-detail/story.html

Just tweeted a picture of him signing a contract. Twitter seems to think Cheltenham.

Don't no if he's trending in Bristol or people trending about him in Bristol.

It's what they do in the quarters that counts. They are not good players until they perform and achieve with us. That might sound incredibly harsh, but it's definitely the way I will be looking at our team this season. They have to earn my respect.

As soon as Rovers fans start getting excited about a signing is usually the time I switch off. Not the best judgement in the world. Jason Roberts and Rickie Lambert were written off by a large number of gasheads after all!!

Are people really getting that excited about James Norwood that he's 'trending'? Jeez how far we have fallen... The answer to the first question is a resounding NO! Well, from me at least. And to reply to the second question, I think that we are still in freefall, but I will give you a definitive reply once the club has stabilised.
