It most certainly would be a good capture, on paper at least, and if he does sign then I hope that he doesn't make his debut for Macclesfield on Saturday.

Morecambe forward Jack Sampson joins the club on loan
Macclesfield Town have made a late addition to their squad ahead of the end of the emergency loan window with Morecambe forward Jack Sampson joining the Silkmen. A former England U19 international, Sampson began his career with Bolton and had loan spells with Accrington Stanley and Southend United before leaving Bolton in the summer of 2013. He was quickly signed by League Two side Morecambe and made 46 appearances for the club last term, scoring five goals. This term he has made a further 19 appearances for Morecambe and the tall forward will now look to gain more first-team experience with the Silkmen. The 21-year-old will be with the rest of the season, including any involvement in the end of season play-offs.
