"Should be able to bring in an experienced League 1/League 2 player that's out of the team and hungry to win a new contract for next season."
D. Coles of FGR fits that bill. Sorted.

Surprised he isn't in the FGR as much as he's a massive James Blunt he looked very very good against us in both games this season.

Ain't no sh*thead coming here! You obviously aren't aware his is actually a Gashead, he just happened to play for the Sh!t. Unfortunately various events/incidents while and since he played for us have rather discoloured people's opinion of him.

He had two 30 day periods on loan to us. In the second period he went back early because of injury, but was still officially registered as a loanee in those 30 days. I think (would love to be wrong though). How can you state he was "official registered" unless you've checked with the club or the Conference? Surely once he return to Fulham his loan period would have been "officially" cancelled, unless Fulham refused to cancel his loan spell which seems unlikely. There seems no reason why LDV can't return if either club wanted him to return. That would be an ecumenical matter

Unfortunately various events/incidents while and since he played for us have rather discoloured people's opinion of him. That's also my understanding, but I think that going south at such a young age must have done permanent damage to his development . . . on and off the pitch. But seriously Danny Coles has always appeared to have a mind of his own, and I really regret the fact that things didn't work out for him whilst he was here. I think that he and Chris Lines prove the fact that to be a fan of the club somehow must put an additional pressure on you, if you end up playing for the club. But it's strange to think that at one point most of the players who played in the First XI, were usually all supporters of the club. I suppose that we have Bert Tann's ''No Buy No Sell'' policy to thank for that, and later the South Wales nursery of course. Supporters seemed to regard these players as ''our own,'' but that era has sadly now passed.

Doubt it. He can be here for 31 days. So would be available for last game of the season on the 25th but nothing more. So, unless someone else is coming as well, I doubt LDV will considering DC said he wanted cover for when Dawson went back.

So, unless someone else is coming as well, I doubt LDV will considering DC said he wanted cover for when Dawson went back. Are you sure he can only here for 31 days. According to what I can find, in the Conference;
- Minimum loan periods are 28 days, not 30;
- He (probably) signed an extension, not a new loan period, I can't find anything stipulating a minimum period for extensions;
- He went back early, but after the initial 28 day minimum. There's no minimum extension, so the days he has left will depend on when the cancellation form was sent in.
So I reckon he has more than 31 days left. How anyone can know for sure without actually speaking to someone is beyond me though.

I am not sure - hence why I posted the question earlier in the thread. The rules posted were quite ambiguous, I wonder if DC is also trying to work out whether he can play on for more time. I assume when you extend a loan like this you do it for the month, not anything shorter unless for keepers. If so, regardless of whether he fulfilled the full second month, it counts towards the loan maximum. All I know is, we should find out tomorrow if there is any truth in it and whether we can do it longer than a month!

I reckon you can cancel a loan early (minimum 28 days from the date the player first registered with the borrowing club) and only the days up to cancellation count towards the 93.
Totally agree though, the rule book is clear as mud. Hopefully our club secretary has found this sort of stuff out...

No true gashead would celebrate the way he did for his goal against us for FGR this season. Danny hasn't done himself any favours over the years, who remembers him offering to meet a fan in the car park to 'sort out their differences' a few years ago and of course has always engaged with fans via social media which occasionally has got him into trouble because of how he has expressed himself. There were plenty of our fans giving him stick throughout the match, I have no problem him giving it back Gashead or not.

Play-off final is in 53 days......LDV was a Rovers player for a maximum of 33 days IF we're allowed to only count the days he was classed as ours. Couldn't see any reference in the Conference rules to being sent back due to injury, only to being recalled

There's not going to be much point signing someone who can't stay until the end of the season including the play off's and final if required.

I would of thought with DC recalling J LUCAS and Danny Greenslade then the chances of anyone coming in on loan is minimal perhaps the wages system doesn't give or allow DC the room to go ahead with the loan deals he is after.J Lucas is an attacker Danny Greenslade is a defender so with some tinkering DC may want to blood them all I would say is that you never know what DC is going to do he has his ways of looking at a situation. .
