I can't recall this already being posted on this forum but it seems according to Toteend on one of the other forums we are not due to get any further money from the Lambert transfer until next summer, DC's transfer budget won't be boasted by these transfer funds. Unofficialbrfc

Makes no difference, even if it was the full 20% of £3m all paid in one hit, take off Rochdale's share and the rest is unlikely to be enough to cover last season's losses.

Cannot say about your situation of course but unless specifically negotiated at the time sell ons are normally paid in instalments.

I dont believe that; if Liverpool pay Southampton, then Rovers get a taste and so will Rochdale.

Sounds like one of the excuses allowed to be fed to the plebs.
I read totends post called the reason we have no money to spend
The reason is not Lambert money or lack of it, it was because we were bloody relegated

It is extremely unusual for transfer fees to be paid as a lump sum. Any sell on fees therefore invariably follow the installments and work there way down the chain from there. Sometimes a proportion of the overall fee has to be transferred, before the sell payments are triggered, as Lincolnfan says it depends on what was negotiated at the time.
Don't forget to deduct fees and VAT as well.

We wouldn't have banked on getting any funds from a Lambert transfer when TW eventually got around to working out this season's budget so things aren't are tougher financially, just that we now won't get the windfall until next season.
NH & co should have been worrying about the cost of relegation last January not no anyway.

Perhaps we should have just flogged the right to sell on monies for £200k and had it transferred straight to an offshore account in the name of a former owner / shareholder / director ....allegedly, maybe......

Cannot say about your situation of course but unless specifically negotiated at the time sell ons are normally paid in instalments. In fact the add on fees are paid according to the deal done when the sale was made. How anyone on here can know the details of a private and confidential arrangement between Rovers and Southampton concerns me! Either even more BS than normal from some posters or someone has leaked information which should remain private.

BRFC would be better off saying all Lambert money is covering income shortfall/losses and the wage budget is the wage budget We have no money because we got relegated and Lambo monies shouldnt factor into anything

you obviously don't know anything about transfer fees do you? everything goes through the FOOTBALL LEAGUE and they forward to clubs. 99.9999% of transfers are paid in instalments.
according to you I expect all this was a rule written by NH. You really come across as a blame the board for everything in the world, which makes you a bit of a numpty. Get the facts before you post is the message.

A good friend of mine finances transfer fees for Premiership clubs. It is safe lending as the league controls all the TV money - the main source of income for the clubs. the rules on transfer fees are rigorous- 50%,of the fee is paid up front and the balancemust be paid within 12 months. At the beginning of each season the league deducts any outstanding and overdue transfer fee payments from the club TV money and pays the club due the fee. You may remember that Portsmouth when they were still in the top flight complained that the league were holding TV money which they wanted released to ease their financial plight. The league refused as Portsmouth owed unpaid transfer fees to other clubs and Portsmouth's telly money went to them. It's the league's way of making sure clubs honour their debts.

Go and read TEs post on the other forum We have no money to spend as per toteends post on the other forum because we got ourselves relegated and nothing else. The Lambert money when we get it is a bonus and should not really factor into anything. If we are relying on Lambo money then we are f cked really
