Good to hear mate. Do you get any pain from the injury now IE rheumatic stuff or is it totally different in that when it's fixed, it's had no after effects ? My eldest Brother played at a decent level and he was hobbling around by the time he was 60 No pain KP, still playing now at 49, 11's and 7's. I would recommend surgery without it your only good for straight line running. Got my side step back now, the knee is stronger than before despite losing some muscle definition. Been playing a bit of mixed netball recently (prob the worst sport for knees) no issues. There are a few options for knee reconstructions , with mine they platted some of my hamstring, drilled through the bone , anchored it in place. Then the bone grows over the anchor...jobs a good un. That's good.
The team I coach seems to suffer an ACL every couple of years or more, had 3 in 3 years at one point. Apparently something to do with women's wider hips and lower natural musculature causing knee instability. Most never come back to football - loss of confidence.

I have never know a club that is so secretive about the players injuries,e.g Sinclair must of had a scan by now it is 2015 and we are a professional football club, and when is Easter back?? Biggest player we have signed this season and it seems there is no rush, even though we have won the last 5,watching the games we need him badly to take the pressure off the defence and help us over the line. Our luck will run out soon and will end up drawing games again we should be winning utg

It's surely time for the yearly discussion about why we pick up so many knee injuries, fail to diagnose them correctly and then take ages to treat them.

What's the point in rushing a player back for 2 games and risking even more injury when, by then, he will have been out for months? Unless we slip into the Play Offs we might as well forget him for this season. At least it's not a career threatening injury.

I hope beyond hope that he is going to recover fully and rapidly. Quite frankly I would have him in the team hopping rather than some of the muppets we Have had in the last few years. He would hop faster, leap higher, shoot straighter and he would struggle to do a two footed tackle. He deserves better luck and he knows that every Gas head is behind him.

James McNamara's Post article for those who can't bear the adverts:
Bristol Rovers to be without midfielder Stuart Sinclair for at least six weeks
By JamesMcNamara | Posted: March 04, 2015
BRISTOL Rovers are to be minus the services of midfielder Stuart Sinclair for at least six weeks.
Sinclair was taken away on a stretcher 25 minutes into his comeback at Gateshead on Saturday after suffering a knee injury following an awkward fall.
Rovers boss Darrell Clarke initially feared that Sinclair may have suffered ligament damage that would have kept him out for up to a year, but scan results received on Tuesday confirmed that the problem was not as serious as first thought.
“Stuart will be out for between six and ten weeks,” Clarke said. “We thought the time scale would be a lot worse so in a way it is a bit of good news. “It is still a blow to lose someone of Stuart’s quality at this stage of the season and the lad is obviously gutted considering he’d only just got fit again after fracturing his foot.
“We all know what sort of character Stuart is though and I wouldn’t rule out seeing him back in action at some point before the end of the season.”
Clarke says he will step up his bid to add some cover in central midfield via the loan market as a result of Sinclair’s absence and the return of Josh Wakefield to Bournemouth following the expiration of his loan spell earlier this week.
“A central midfielder would be a priority and I’m looking into that,” Clarke said. “I won’t be pushed into making a panic decision because the players I have got have shown that they can be flexible in terms of what positions they play in to help us compensate.”
The manager is also hoping that long-term absentees Jermaine Easter and Ollie Clarke may both be able to return to light training on Thursday morning. If they also come through full-contact training on Friday morning unscathed both would be in contention for a return to action when Eastleigh visit the Memorial Stadium on Saturday.
Clarke, meanwhile, has also confirmed that he has already lodged a request with Leicester City to extend the loan of winger Adam Dawson when his current spell expires on March 14. Rovers would be able to keep him until the penultimate game of the season at Dover on April 18 if a deal can be agreed under the 93-day emergency loan rules.

Hopefully will take our time getting the right replacement in, after all if Clarke is back that should tide us over until Mansell picks up another yellow.

Who honestly thinks Clarke will get a creative midfielder who is worthy of the name? We have needed one for months so now our non league manager says he won't be panicked into a loan signing. Give me strength !! Demand better Gas heads we are Bristol Rovers.

What's that smell? s**t, poo, excrement (which one gets past the * fairy?) but certain people on here have completely fallen for his wind up, one even started a thread trying to belittle him. Was quite laughable.
