I'd snap up any offer for him. Cannot maintain any fitness, has serious knee problems that won't improve and is probably I guess on a decentish wedge.cannot afford to carry any players this year.

What's he on now, 2 cruciate ligament injuries at the age of 21? Not fussed either way.

Only reason we signed him was because he had a poor injury record.
To see these L2 players jump ship (perhaps pushed?) makes me bloody mad. Smug ***** like Richards & Gill signing for Tranmere, JJ exercising an escape clause!
Has any player stated that they would like to stay and help us get back? **** the lot of em!
Now looking forward to supporting a new group of players who want to progress rather than stroll around pretending to be footballers.

He was pushed out & very unceremoniously so. Our fans gave him such a hard time but he still wanted to stay. He was the pivotal player in us getting Gow and it was done by box 1. We could have paid 20K for Gow and kept Richards. Gill was also pushed with many wanting him gone due to his apparent massive wages. At the end if the day these guys have agents whose job it is to get them the best deal and at the best level possible. This is not prem football where they are making their lives complete in one season. As it stands, many players actively avoid us. You only have to look how quickly the heroes become nunts and alsorts. I think we have to look closer to home to understand why we do not have the loyalty we used to be able to rely upon

Well as was mentioned the other day,Brunt is still under contract until the end of next season so any club who want him may have to pay up. I suppose we'll just let him go to get him off the wage bill.
Think it was Higgs who wanted Elliot Richards out, apparently Ward wanted him to stay.
Higgs signed Akinde didn't he,think so.
what a bloody awful judge of a footballer that man is. Did he ever play the game after leaving school I wonder.

It's a shame that we are now seemingly arguing over what was blind to happen. Many were questioning Brunt being here. It's all getting a bit sad mate. Whatever the outcome of the Wycombe debacle, we were always going to have many new faces. That is still the case

Sounds to me like agent talk, although it would explain why Brunt was so eager to pay for himself to get fit in the US...

I have a feeling Brunt would jump at the chance to move to a FL club in the summer but I'm not sure anyone would be willing to stump up a fee for an injury-prone young striker, so it come down to whether the club want to free up his wages and allow him to leave on a free. Personally I think he may have something to offer next year with full fitness, especially in the Conference, but if DC would prefer his wages to sign someone else I wouldn't be against it.

I've not see any statement from Brunt to say he wants out - only that he's getting himself back to fitness. Of course he will pay (or his parents will) to get there as quick as he can.

I do think a fit Brunt would do wonders for us in the conference but if we get offered a good fee then I would not be against moving him on. He's not had a great time with injuries and that's not something we want to be dealing with, especially with a rigorous fixture list and hard-hitting non-league players smashing the s**t out of him and our other players.

Brunt has said nothing about moving away so lets not get on his back. I believe that IF he can prove his fitness he can go on to be a 20 goal a season forward for us. We need one of those right?
Let's see how things pan out.

KP - regardless of how they were released, those players would still be here and in L2 if they had put in a shift on a daily basis.
I don't blame NH for getting rid of another load of wasters who he pays well.
More worrying is why these players couldn't be cajoled in to behaving like pro-footballers!
Still waiting for the answers from the board.
