The only thing that was surprising about todays win was that we didn't manage to win by a hatful. From start to finish it was a win at a canter and only poor finishing ruined what was a good performance both in terms of a team performance and in respect of individual performers.
Mildenhall 5 Very little to do but looked more confident coming for crosses today and needed that after last weeks display.
Leadbitter 6 Thought he had a good game defending wise other than a couple of lapses but I do worry when he goes on a run and pushes the ball far too far in front of him. Not sure I would play him at Grimsby next week where we may need to be a bit tighter and I feel Lockyer should be moved to that position.
Parkes 8 Outstanding game from Tom which has been the case for many weeks now. He is showing what a fine footballer he is now and bringing the ball out from defence with confidence. In fact he dealt with everything today competently.
McCrystal 7.5 Not the tallest player but won everything in the air and played well within his limitations. Not going to see great passing from him but he plays within his means and that is better than trying to do what you aren't capable of.
Brown 7 Great goal from Lee today and close with another shot just over in the first half and inches away from a second perfect free kick when hitting the post. I thought he over hit too many passes but generally it was a competent performance.
Dawson 8.5 MOM Has Clarke managed to find another LDV? I actually think so. Very good feet and some excellent work throughout. Worked hard to get the ball and always looking to take on his full back. Hope very much we can extend his loan and then hopefully sign him in the summer.
Mansell 6.5 Helped us to get a foothold on the game and win the midfield battle with his tackling in a generally hard working performance. He also managed to spread the passes about the field and helped us stretch the Lincoln defence.
Lockyer 6 Tom had a much better game today than last week taking control of the midfield with tough tackling and general challenging for every ball that worked well although it does have to be said that Lincoln did not offer a lot in that area and appeared to come with an approach that was intimidating and trying to hold on to a point and then later just keeping the score down.
Monkhouse 6 Showed neat touches throughout and a great understanding with Lee Brown. i always come away though thinking that with his ability he could do a lot more damage himself and there is little doubt that he could do a great job in the centre of the midfield with the range of his passing and his confidence on the ball.
Blissett 6 Worked tirelessly for the cause and held the ball up well and in addition was back defending when needed. The difference between him and any targetmen we have had in recent years is his ability to get into goalscoring situations which is exactly what gave him his goal today. I am sure he is a player who will improve in the longer term.
Taylor 7.5 Many peoples Man of the match for his general work ethic and footballing skills at holding up play and I can't disagree with those based on those credentials. His setting up of Blissett was brilliant BUT and this a big but he is really in the team to score goals and really should have come away with a minimum of a hattrick and a real deadly striker would have had four or five.
Harrison, Balanta and Gosling- None received long enough to be rated although must mention the sublime pass from Gosling that set up Harrison for a chance he made a complete hash of.
DC 7 We can all pick holes in his team selection and signings but he still gets the results which see us in a great position and it is hard to criticise his part in the performance today other than look at the players on the bench and those out injured and say he has managed to put together a squad that is probably the best in the League but whether the climax to this season will prove that is for another day.
Referee 6 A mixed performance from the officials but overall reasonable.
Lincoln 5 Never really in the game and it is not difficult to see why they have struggled at times to keep eleven players on the pitch. Seemed to only have a plan to hold on for a point and when that went didn't really ever look like getting back in the game.
