Yeah what a loser playing in a higher league than the majority of our squad have ever played. Yeah, some people might want to delude themselves that every ex-gas player was wonderful. In the real world however, Mr Richards was pretty dreadful and seldom put in a decent shift on the pitch. Buckle and Richards are welcome to each other.

ER was the only one getting free kicks and a few penalties in that God awful team. The swap fro Gow was a pivotal move and it backfired spectacularly. Regardless of what we may think of ER, his treatment was appalling and he was actually informed of his departure by Twitter & text. He also very rarely was played in a position where he could do damage. Always liked the guy and he was turning his life around. Still young & could do well. Good luck fella Spot on. Good luck from me too

Don't they know the conference is the real place to be playing football nowaday? All together now - "F**k the league".

But that wasn't really the case with ER in the 10 or so games before we swapped him for Gow, where he'd made the left wing role his own putting in some decent performances. Looking at this season's squad can anybody really honestly say Monkhouse or Martin are better or more consistent performers? ER's never going to set the footballing world alight but who is in our present squad?

Thought his performance at home to Newport was special but sadly didn't often reach that standard in other games.Had genuine potential and hope he does well but doubt it somehow.

Yep - four separate league two managers each independently wrongly assessing Elliott's ability. Can't they all see our current non-league squad who've never played in the league are better? We already know managers can't get it wrong because Ellis - the useless sh1te - Harrison is correctly never given a start.

Very few of our players have never played in the league. Taylor, Blissett and Sinclair are the only ones I can think of, and they've been amongst our better performers.

I mean if the first club had swapped him for a more senior player (good on them if they did, I bet it worked out perfectly - better off without him) and the club he went to were completely broke and shipping out players like they were bailing out a sinking boat and the third club had just sacked the manager who brought him in I could understand but FOUR? Useless.

That you should rate Richards and Harrison so highly tells me everything about your ability to judge a footballer but if you think the aforementioned are wonderful that's fine by me.

I'm not judging any player's ability -it's those moron league level managers who keep signing Richards. Not me.

But he is a moron who signed Brown, Smith & Carayol, the latter two the only ones we've actually managed to sell, other than youngsters, rather than give away/pay to go since Hoskins departed?

And Tisdale! And McMahon! No, they released their mistakes and acted promptly. Three very good signings as it turned out but thats just 3 out of 22. Do you consider that an acceptable ratio?

And Tisdale! And McMahon! No, they realised their mistakes and acted promptly. Exactly! Tisdale knew his club had plenty of cash sloshing around but he wasn't going to waste it on that rubbish idiot, Richards. That's why Richards was the only first teamer to leave them at that time. And McMahon knew he was going to get the boot so left a note in the dressing room "When I'm sacked, get rid of Elliott Richards, he's rubbish".

The same rubbish idiot who kept Exeter in Div 2 with his goals/assists? Tranmere offered him a 2 year contract which was probably far more than, at the time, almost bankrupt Exeter could surely offer?

Who is this McMahon the inappropriately-named one speaks of?
