Cannot belive this! I really just hope he's ok cause not just from losing a player but financially this could be awful news if long term as we can't afford to pay top dollor for another long term injured player

DC talks about his 18 man squad " quality over quantity" but now we have a few key player out like the beard and now Easter we look very thin! Lockyer in midfield is a worry and he might have to switch formation to allow for the lack of strength in midfield. I just hope the wheels don't start to come off at such a critical stage in the season! UTG come on u blues!!!!!!!

It didn't look serious. He left his foot in on a ball he wasn't going to win and suffered a knock as a result, that's all. I was surprised he went straight off, but first impressions didn't suggest he was badly hurt.

He has strained his medial knee ligaments. It happens frequently when footballers go into block tables.
Likely to be out for 2 weeks - 3 tops.
Trust your Dr V on this one.

It took me a lot longer when i strained mine. Ligaments have poor blood supply, part of the reason for slow healing. And he's no longer a spring chicken easter egg. But here's hoping....
