Well here we are. For us it really depends on who we get in, and if we can stop getting so many injury niggles.
1. Nuneaton A 2. Woking A 3. Braintree H 4. Dartford A 5. Lincoln H 6. Grimsby A 7. Altringham H 8. Gateshead A 9. Eastleigh H 10. Halifax A 11. Aldershot H 12. Macclesfield A 13. Chester H 14. Kidderminster A 15. Southport H 16. Dover A 17. Alfreton H
For Barnet it is a case of keeping their momentum going. Our remaining fixtures are similar. Personally my heart says "we can do it" but my head says "no we wont"
1. Lincoln A 2. Grimsby A 3. Southport H 4. Halifax A 5. Woking H 6. Wrexham A 7. Grimsby H 8. Altringham A 9. Forest Green H 10. Eastleigh A 11. Welling H 12. Alfreton A 13. Nuneaton H 14. Dartford A 15. Halifax H 16. Kidderminster A 17. Gateshead H

The next 4 games look interesting as potentially we could win all 4, but Barnet have 3 tough looking away games. Just a pity we lost ground yesterday we'd gained as we could have well closed the gap to 3 pts or even less.

Actually Barnet have a tough 7-8 games in the next 10. After that, it would seem a walk in the park for them, unless nerves start jangling. Seems that we might need a mighty 24 out of 30pts to have a sniff. Might be a bridge too far IMO.

Whither Richfromhertford? Or did his optimism fall victim to the achievement of the 'ground-breaking' in May 2014 (I didn't know it was intended to be a burial)?

If Barnet maintain their current points per game they will end up with 98 points and we would require 46 out of the 51 available to us.They will need to have a fairly big blip for us or any other team to have a realistic chance of catching them.Lots of things that could conspire against them though so we still have a chance of finishing above them.

To be fair we are looking at Barnet firstly dropping 10 points which in their present form is quite an ask but also have to remember that we have to actually keep winning games as well. Looking at it another way just looking at our away games it is hard to see us taking 3 points from half of these games- Woking A Grimsby A Gateshead A Halifax A Macclesfield A Dover A and Kidderminster A. It is a really tough ask to win this League unless we bring in at least 3 quality players which would make a difference in these tough games. What we have in our favour is the possibility of having great support at some of these games.

It's nice to get excited but I think we are jumping the gun a little here, personally I'll be worrying about the run in if we are still in the mix come March.

And of course there's also the other teams to consider, I'm looking for a dark horse coming up on the rails in the final furlong. But will BRFC bottle it in January, that's the question.

I think Torquay did a good job in suppressing our support by the way they came and played against us. There was little of the positive play we saw against them in the away match and normally we can rely on Darrell making an early change to our line up or formation, however whether due to injuries or unwillngness to change things we struggled to get a foothold in the game until the last 10/15 minutes of the game and hence little attacking play developed for us to get the Muller roar going With 8,000+ in attendance and around 7,600 of those being Gasheads it was a pity there wasn't a better game plan available, still we didn't lose so some good came out of it.

But those 2 pts dropped could be big losses, say Barnet lose on Sunday and we win, that gap could have been down to just 4 pts, Barnet then have another tough away game us an easier looking home game. As things stand you can still see that gap being 7 pts. You sense our best hope is Barnet losing Allen & /or Akinde or us signing either Tubbs or LDV type players, knowing Rovers neither will happen.
