This season have seen most games away from the area on the Uplands behind the home dugout.
Back behind the home dugout for the Torquay game and wow made me remember why I moved. So much negativity every time a player mis**ts a pass or does anything even slightly wrong.
Makes me wonder if Darrell Clarkes view of our fans as being a bit negative and over the top when we lose is influenced by being close to this braying mob every other week...!

Woking FC must have the same type of fan as they've named a section of terracing 'Moaners Corner'.
If there's no segregation for our away game at Woking perhaps both groups of moaners can stand together and have a real bitch fest.

I stood next to a bloke today who spent 90 minutes moaning! Not one positive comment in all that time!!!
He sounded like the Rovers had stripped all his enthusiasm away!!!

I was on the blackthorn and half a dozen moaners just went on and on. Never thought about the injuries we have, or the weather. It was all Clarkes fault

In all honesty and after seeing us play the same team off of the park at their place, we were awful today. The entire ground was a library

I feel sorry for their wives, girl fiends, children who no doubt have to put up with it seven days a week, we only have to put up with them about 23 days a year.

Stood on the Uplands terrace for the first time during the Dartford game and I won't be doing it again if I can help it, you get the odd moaner near to where I stand on the North Terrace but nowhere near to that sort of level.

That's exactly the reason I never go anywhere near that part of the ground, despite various efforts of people who I know go in there.

It can get a bit depressing listening to a few in the right hand corner of the blackthorn . I've had a couple of exchanges of views with a group of moaning d"ckheads over the last few seasons . Can't be doing with it anymore

It seems incredible now but when I was about 15 I got into a right ding dong with a group of middle aged moaners in the North Enclosure. We had words inside the ground and on the way out it started again and, as we stood behind the North Stand exchanging insults and threats, fans were surging past and seeing our altercation started shouting "fight fight fight". This was around 1969/70 when Rovers were strong in the third division (league 1)and regularly attracted crowds of 20 000 for those magical league cup ties which Chris Brown describes so well in "Bovver". Nothing actually kicked off but I was wary of what might happen at the next home game so, as incredible as it sounds, I took a knife with me. Yes, I know it's hard to believe but it did actually happen and thank goodness nothing went wrong. The moaners weren't there and everything passed off peacefully and shortly afterwards I became firmly ensconced on the Tote End.
At the time I could not understand what they were moaning about. To me Saturdays and Tuesday nights were everything and although the league games may have been a bit tedious, Bournemouth, Brentford, Millwall etc with crowds of 8 or 9000 the league cup games with Villa, QPR or Newcastle were something special. What was wrong ?
Well, if there is a moral to the story it is that those moaners were probably supporters from the 50's who were used to 20 000 crowds for every league game and to them the 30 000 + FA Cup games with Newcastle or Manchester United were the magical bonus. Of course they weren't going to sit back and congratulate themselves, the club or the team for holding onto a mid table spot in the third division because they wanted something better. And together WE achieved that by promotion to the second division (Championship) in 73/74.
There is a lesson in there somewhere and, whatever it is, I think on my next visit to the Mem there is a good chance I shall be standing on the Uplands Terrace.

Well, I can relate to being part of a generation who saw better times - I saw us win the title, compete in the second tier. I saw Stewart, Hayles, Roberts, Cureton etc
But I aint going to make myself (more) miserable on the weekend by focussing on the negatives. I want to enjoy myself and that means positive support

I've spent time in a number of the terraces, and there's moaners dotted about everywhere. I would say though that a bloke and his son who whine all game moved into the area of the Uplands that you describe at the start of the season, so perhaps it was those that you heard.

As i stand there i dont think it is worse than anywhere else. People get frustrated with mis placed passes when it set the the opposition of on another attack.
Actually it has been better the past couple of games as the Matty Taylor fan club have been a bit quiet now he has scored a couple of goals and most seem behind him

The abuse that Blissett got yesterday in this area (for an admitedly average performance) was not nice. Lots of shouts of being lazy etc.
These are the same guys that were always on Kuffours, Anyinsah, and Harrisons back in a similar way in the past which make me think there are some undertones going on.

In all honesty and after seeing us play the same team off of the park at their place, we were awful today. The entire ground was a library You came to the game? Good for you if you did. It wasn't too bad on the West Enclosure where many moaners congregate, just groans at misplaced passes, but that's fair enough. Whilst the support wasn't loud yesterday, it didn't feel too negative and the team were applauded (relatively quietly but definitely applauded) off at half time. I've been at the ground at many games where the crowd were much quieter than yesterday and many where the crowd was more enthusiastic - I suspect Torquay scoring early on didn't help but certainly in the second half the noise levels went up a notch

I stand in this area, back steps directly behind the home dugout. Trotman is a hero of the people over there! Harrison is also a favourite, there is always a buzz when he kits up and gets ready to come on.
Sure you get the moans n groans when it's not clicking or misplaced passes are regularly occurring, but no more than any other area of the ground I've experienced over the years??
Certainly don't hear anyone screaming that the manager and no less than 5 seperate players 'is a c**t', after barely 5 mins of football. Which I found on the blackthorn quite a lot through the years, one of the main reasons I moved to the side to start with.
