I know there's another Hereford thread, but its just been confirmed that they have been expelled from the Conference. Awful shame for the fans, was looking forward to a trip there - one of the few positives of relegation.
Likely to be replaced by Chester, who were relegated last season.

Bad news this, hope the club can get back on its feet soon, for the fans sake!

Yep, big shame. Nice club, with a good bunch of fans. Hopefully they can recover from this.
Chester has not been a good away day for us Gasheads either if I remember rightly. The game Gasheads turned their back on Atkins?

So a team that was relegated may be kept up at the expense of a club that has financial problems.Ring any bells?

What a shame for Hereford United , and their fans. I imagine that they will be gutted this evening. On the up-side, possibly a day-out in Chester for BRFC supporters.

Sad for the Bulls and like others I feel sorry for their supporters, that is the ones who didn't give up on em.
You might think Hereford could of maintained a 3000 average.
then again,we've seen Rovers crowd go down and we've lost 2000 over the last few seasons.
How many next season!

None if we are at the right end of the table. That's the way football crowds work. Success will bring people back even if they are missing at the start of the season. Get off to a bad start...well that's another thing altogether!

But given all of the circumstances, I think that they are acceptable.

They have been very badly run financially and on the field for years. Winding up order after winding up order, unpaid bills to Manager, players and other clubs. Don't feel sorry for the Club but do for the fans. Nice day out in Hereford replaced by a long drive to Chester!
What I would say is well done to the Conference for acting so quickly, positively and correctly.
Shame the FL can't move so quickly.

Anyway, accepted,if we hav'nt lost 2000,perhaps it only felt like it.

Hereford have only hit problems following their relegation which they clearly didn't expect which is seems a like us, I wonder if we're facing similar problems when our parachute payments stop you'll be saying "well done" if we're expelled, as Hereford's unpaid creditors are only owed around less than £200K so it's not massive sums.
