The Football League has asked Rovers to transfer its share in the Football League to Cambridge United, which has been promoted from the Football Conference to replace Rovers in League Two. Under the Football League Articles of Association, each club is entitled to one share in the Football League, which it must surrender upon relegation from League Two under Regulation 7.3. The Football League has asked Rovers to resolve this prior to the Football League AGM on 6 June.

The club also asked the FA for a decision re Wycombe before the AGM, assuming we have transferred our share does that mean the FA have given us a decision, as it seems we were also accepted into the Conference during their AGM which also took place on Friday.

Any outcome to do with the Wycombe thing was always going to be lengthy. The best we could ever have hoped for is a payout. Much like West Ham paid Sheffield Utd.

From the information I have managed to glean, this is a much more problematic situation with some 20 + seperate allegations being set before the authorities to attend to. There has been nothing like it before so no precedent on how to punish, IF they are found to be guilty. We are talking about the alleged involvement of some very unsavoury characters and of alleged threat & intimidation This is some very serious stuff and I would imagine it could well mean the end of Wycombe. I cannot even begin to guess at punishments as there has been nothing like it before.

I'm intrigued Jools, where did you get your info? Is there even a slightly remote chance they could be deducted points in your contacts opinion?

Interesting stuff KP. Sounds as though those who are bleating about us picking on "poor little Wycombe" might need to have a re-think.

Hell, that is massive if true (not doubting you one bit).

Difficult to believe that this sort of information wouldn't be in the public domain if true. There is no sign of panic on the Wycombe site or any mention of it on any of the other rumour/gossip sites that I can find. I think we need a source, not just a name, some sort of proof, there has been enough ups and downs for a lifetime in the last few weeks.

Toteend was hinting at something similar but just how accurate his source is anybodies guess, it seems interesting stuff and could be why the FA haven't just dismissed our appeal straight away.

I am in a very precarious situation here as if I revealed where I got the information then it could possibly have repercussions legally. I will say this much, if I can get his permission then I'll go further. What we saw was one page of a 4 page letter. This is not a case of me having some fun in thinking I know something you don't but please understand the delicate nature of this and what could happen if it became mainstream news. It could possibly compromise investigations. To be honest, I felt I was wring to post it just after I did post. I apologise to all who may think me a wrong in for posting this. If I am able to then I will reveal more when I feel the time is right. I can categorically tell you that this is not BS or a WUM post.

It goes without saying (obviously!) that this is a different 4 page letter than the one Rovers originally posted themselves on the Official Site? Anyway let's hope if any wrongdoing was done they are punished appropriately, and if they've done no wrong this is put to bed ASAP and we move on graciously.
