As well as all the talk about new signings, how about trying to extend Della Verde's loan? From what I saw Saturday I was very impressed and he stood out as a player with a bit extra. He could make a big difference to our season in my opinion, if and its a big if, we could keep him for a few months longer.

Yes we must obtain loans from higher up the pecking order than Cambridge as this proves. Not a lot of quality on show these days but this guy does have that bit more.

Maybe there is a 'gentlemans' agreement in place to extend it. Remember short term loans (which is all we can make now) won't take him through to the later stages of the season.
However, long term loans come into effect again (I believe) between the 1st and 31st of January.
If we wait for the January option (we may have to apply to extend the short term loan to get us there) we should be able to have him for the final run in...
If Fulham let us, the player wants to stay and we want him of course!

We do need to extend this guy if possible. He looks like our only player that can create something.

The move for our equaliser was excellent and involved Lyle a couple of times!

Lyle thoroughly deserved his MoM award on Saturday. The only problem was that he wasn't being brought into the game much by the others. A couple of times when he was in acres of space near the Dribuild strand he had to wave with both arms to get his team mates to see him! Sinclair impressed in the first half, but was less effective when moved out side in the second.
I hope he enjoys his football and wants to stay with us a bit longer, its got to be better than playing for Fulham reserves.

The "problem" with Lyle is that his speed of thought is light years quicker than the others, the first half he played some great balls deep into the far post which no one read, similarly in the second half and eventually taylor got on the end of one. I think he will find it too frustrating at this level, i reckon they might extend another month at a push then he will probably go on loan to a league club to get him ready fro a couple of late season appearances for his host club. best just enjoy watching a bit of genuine quality for a month or two.

speed of thought is light years quicker than the others ........ reminds me of a certain R Lambert! We really should have used him more in the second half - he was always calling for the ball but didn't get that often!

As we only have him for the month, Marcus Stewarts comments regards expect inconsistency from Lyle suggests we should enjoy the cameo performances.

The prospect of LDV and a fully fit Balanta on the same pitch together..... I was just about to post something similar! Those two on the wings with a new striker and we could look a different team.
