I know the new striker topic has been done to death on here and on social media, but what did you guys think of their lad up front today Nathan Blissett? Even his goal aside, I thought he won most of his battles in the air and had plenty of pace and energy about him. Could definitely see a player like him making a difference in our side. With Kidderminsters financial problems which have surfaced this last week, couldn't imagine it would take much to lure him away?

He was definitely a real handful.and put away a free header,.if we are to persist with the long ball crap,he would be a decent proposition.

I've got to be honest, although I thought he was a handful, his ability was pretty terrible.
Not sure he is the answer to our goalscoring problems.

Great in the air, very quick but rubbish on the ground.
No thanks

Fair enough he wasnt the most technically gifted, but if he was he would be playing much higher up the leagues that's the unfortunate realism of where we are. And let's be fair, it isn't doing John Akinde any harm at the moment! Pace and power are enough to scare defenders in this league.

I thought he was very good. He ran our defence ragged all afternoon. Sign him up now I say

Don't think he would have looked so good if Trotman had been playing.

Whether he would be "the answer" I've no idea but I have to agree he was an absolute handful and looked far more effective than any of our strikers

He (Blissett) was awful on the ground. Prefer Cunnington any day.

Correct. He put away a free header. Which is more than the useless Taylor could manage. In the game that I witnessed today, taylor changed the game with his movement and touches and scored the equaliser.... Agree with that, Brunt & Harrison were totally ineffective, Taylor was trying to make things happen and he reminds of Dave Clarkson in that he has a decent football brain and a decent ammount of technical quality. I think Taylor will end up with 15 goals this season which is a great effort when you consider he's still young, doesn't get much service and is playing under extremely poisonous conditions where yet again today he was getting abuse. Nice to see a player who isn't earning an over the top wage, isn't a sicknote and who has the potential to get better & better.

Any idea why Taylor ran in front of the Kiddy fans to celebrate surely things aren't that bad for him that he can't even celebrate with his own fans. Personally I though Taylor did brilliantly when he came on and you can see why DC had refused to bow so called fans bully boy fans like Tbone and drop him.

Exactly this happened after his last goal from open play, vs Nuneaton. a very long time ago.

wow, our expectations really have fallen.
Blissett couldn't hit a barn door on the floor. At least 2 dreadful efforts.
Out of the frying pan, into the fire.

I was stood on that side of the pitch and I think he thought Della Verde was there as he was pointing as he ran.

That is all.

Secondly had he the strikers instinct we would have got 3 points and not just 1. He missed a free header that he should have buried and never had the nouse to get on the end of DLV's brilliant low cross that fizzed across the box. He has cost us 2 points in a fair few of our drawn games.

No, LDV hit is cross a fraction too soon if he'd have delayed it a second both Taylor & Sinclair(?) would have buried it. If either had gone sooner they would have been offside. Taylor was just unlucky with his header but Harrison missed one too, but at least they had chances unlike Brunt & White.
