Game suspended in Miami due to thunder and lightning. But they made sure the people around the pitch were moved inside, they didn't send groundsmen out with pitch forks. As for the game, dreadful, ought to be stopped to save the crowd from further punishment.

I loved the American expert who said, "We have suspended the game due to what we call a thunderstorm."
Bless, I bet that he doesn't know that we have refrigerators.

Barkley, Lampard and Wilshire look international class, the rest are utter dross. And as always Rooney pulled on an England shirt and stank the place out, dreadful.

We were slow, ponderous and lacking quality going forward and also looked vulnerable at the back at times. The tone was set when Glen Johnson manged to miscontrol a simple ball out for a corner when ther wasn't an opposition player within about 20 yards of him. Dreadful preparation all round.

Dreadful preparation all round Ah yes but when it is someone who has always been in the top flight, like Rooney or Johnson, allowances are made - they are jaded after a long season or still recovering from an injury that happened months ago or it is a new partnership etc. The same slack is not afforded to players who have made their way up like Holt and Lambert whose first bad game is a sign of their lack of class and unfamiliarity of the demands of the beautiful game at the highest level. Double standards and hogwash. Still the journalism will only get worse once the World Cup Finals actually start!

Honduras were leaving room outside of the box and the usual suspects were firing shots high, wide and not particularly handsome, whilst Rickie was told to go and stand in amongst half a dozen defenders packing the penalty area waiting for crosses that never came. Knocked out at the group stage with 3 points and then we can blame all the foreigners in the Premier League, the FA can then sit comfortably counting their pieces of silver as another wave of imported players arrive after the tournemant.
