Not guaranteed a place in the starting line up, www.bristolpost.co.uk/Rovers-Ellis-Harrison-guaranteed-starting-place/story-23828689-detail/story.htmlI can guarantee reading between the lines, that he starts with Taylor FFS, what is Dcs f@&king problem ? Give the lad a go he surely can't be any worse than MT , he's already shown he knows where the back of the net is albeit against lower opposition, why not slot Ellis up front and bang Taylor out wide if he needs the love in to continue , Ellis looks more of a natural goalscorer to me , that's the no brainer in my opinion

without understanding the details, my read is that dc is handling Ellis effectively - he's getting stuff out of him, whereas last season it was reported that we got less than nothing
that's not to say that your point hadn't occurred to me though. The devil might be in the detail on this one

The devil might be in the detail on this one I agree ,?i think that DC has handled him well upto now but with our current lack of firepower I think now is the time to release the league handcuffs.

to be honest, I think that is just one of those BS Interviews.
I am sure Ellis will start, but DC is trying to appear to keep him on his toes, that he still has to keep working hard and scoring a hat-trick against a side two divisions below doesn't guarantee anything

Why don't we just chill to 5 pm Saturday and then start an inquest then if it's needed then?

Bottom of the table Telford United must be quaking in their boots, wondering whether Ellis Harrison will be in the BRFC's Starting XI. I'm only joking by the way, dele. Personally I still prefer him to come off the bench.

I wouldn't start him, he's much more valuable as an impact sub. Whenever I've seen him start he's looked out of his depth.

Well we can't have Ellis Harrison's ego blasting again, maybe DC's still not quite ready to give the boy more power.
I don't think Harrison is a natural goalscorer, that was Richards who had the "touch" (but lacked physical attributes and willpower), Ellis is more of a threat due to his dribbling and pace. Well, he used to be more pacey back in his winger days, when he was physically weaker, but maybe it's for the best.
I also dislike seeing Taylor in action but let's give DC the benefit of the doubt on this one

The way I see it is if it was the mythical new goal machine that scored 3 for us last week then nobody would even be suggesting that he may not start the next game and the 'it was only Dorchester' line probably wouldn't be trotted out either. He's earnt his chance to start now and will surely be left thinking what the hell do I have to do if he's benched again today.Must start today or his confidence level will take a big hit.

Scored three last week and stayed humble in his post-match interviews... that's his side of the bargain held up then... over to DC

He should start and start in the middle as he requests. We're desperate for a striker.

Harrison and Monkhouse up front would be my choice. Maybe we could try Taylor on the left side of mid-field so as not to hurt his feelings and upset DC too much. Martin has been a bit of a disappointment there. So in a 4-4-2 Mildenhall. Lockyer - Trottman - Parkes - Brown. Taylor - Mansell - Sinclair - Gosling. Harrison - Monkhouse. Anyway Up The Gas and 3 points for today please.

I think both Martin and Gosling have been disappointing, seen flashes of their talent but not consitant enough, both tend to drift in and out of the game.

Is that not true of 99% of wingers in lower league football though (and especially the Conference)? If they were any more consistent and produced for 90 minutes most weeks then they'd be playing higher up the pyramid, surely?

Your probably right in what you say, guess I was sucked in by all the hyp surrounding their signing, my expectations were too high I expect
