Did anyone have a giggle at the choice of 'Dreadlock Holiday' by 10cc for the halftime music? This is a song about a white guy being mugged by four black guys in Jamaica. Show Racism the Red Card? Perhaps it was irony. I was pi**ing myself....

Rubbish song to play anyway. Hardly going to generate any kind of atmosphere. The choice of music is poor imo

Great song!
For some reason we always seem to be cursed by the anti-racism games. We always lose when they take Kick Racism Out of Football banner round.
But who'd have thought that running out in red shirts and everyone holding up red placards would jinx us? I certainly did - refused to take one.

In general the music played before the game and half time are so out of touch, must have played the same sequence of songs before each game for past 15 years now.
Regards to Dreadlock Holiday, at least that put a smile on some faces.

I certainly did - refused to take one. . . . and I noticed that quite a few others did as well LJG. They're clearly not on message, but are insisting on using their own minds and refusing to be brow-beaten. But you are right, it's a good tune.

Love the song thought it was a nice change from the boring run down of normal songs that nobody under the age of 50 could possibly know unless they attended Rovers.
