I just read on twitter that Danny Coles apparently put his middle finger up at our fans in the Blackthorn end after he got a yellow for time wasting? I was sat in the South stand so I was at the other end when he got booked for kicking the ball away at the Blackthorn end so I didnt see the incident. I could see our fans giving him some but I just presumed it was for the time wasting incident. Is this correct? Did anyone see this as I havent seen this posted anywhere else?

Same old story. Fans dish out plenty of stick to a player, and then have a moan when they respond.
Hats off to Coles - all he had to do today was keep winning headers! We played to his strength!!!

Can't remember seeing it. I do remember him taking the piss after scoring when I hadn't heard any abuse directed his way up to that point.

I didn't see it.
I thought Danny Coles was far and away the best player on the pitch today, even if he did celebrate his goal distastefully.
I don't understand why he got abuse while the dickhead Pipe got applause, either.

He put his hand over his mouth as if to say oh s**t scored against my old club, but with irony I reckon. With the stick he was getting his reaction was bang on. No moans from me except it won the game.
Apart from that he kept Cunnington grounded literally by holding him down and kept getting away with it.

There's an awful lot of evidence to suggest that you may be right there 9b1gas, and not just recently neither. I blame it on the fact that he was on the books of the other mob at a crucial time in his development and career, but that all ended badly didn't it? In his defence I will say that my wife met him on one occasion, and found him to be helpful and charming. Perhaps he was having an ''off'' day, eh?

Not saying it is right but is not confusing.

I've only met Danny on a couple of occasions once of which was at his brother Ashley's who incidently is a personal friend of mine wedding reception , I found him to be a nice kiddy , being vocal and competitive is part of his job/ game surely? I didn't go yesterday but I went away to FGR earlier in the season and I was cringing at the abuse he received from our fans behind the goal , how would you feel if you were a Rovers fan and your own fans kept chanting s**thead at you everytime you touched the ball? I think I'd probably act in a similar fashion .
