Some councils also restrict the number of concerts per year as part of the licence. Colchester have a locally imposed restriction at their "newish" ground. We already have our quota of 3 concerts a year. Get the right live acts in and it will sell out. The City is gasping for a live music venue like this. Knowing us we will probably book Gareth Gates to open the venue.

Um, there appears to be a problem with the BEP website. It seems to have 'lost' the Stadium delay story from yesterday. As the Major said to Basil, 'oh we'll, I'm sure it'll turn up. Now I wonder where it went.......'

I am just checking. As you are aware I received an Email from EH saying all clear. However: topper kindly gave a link suggesting a final date of the 17th June for the SOS to decide. Any news as its the 18th today ?

Mention was made last night by TW of people being on holiday and FIVE pieces of legal stuff needing to be brought together. I thought there was no sense of urgency!!

Well I thought the decision by the SOS is critical because if he lists ground it is all off ( subject to our appeal). I believe there are several links suggesting the 17th of June as the FINAL decision. So my question is : When is the SOS going to make the FINAL decision??? I am not interested in the other 4 legal bits .. Afterall: this is the make or break decision...

I wonder if it's that solicitor that was 'ill' (or was he on holiday too, I can't remember) that was holding up the Mem rebuild? We keep being duped by the same stories ...

The relevant Government department has been very busy and then since the 12th has been silent (so I assume on holiday...)
Things they have covered recently...
£30M to encourage more women to be engineers...
Deciding on the ownership of an old table that may or may not have been stolen by the Nazis in 1936...
Your taxes at work...

GoD is on form on twitter tonight "No, if any member of the club did not focus on maintaining our FL place that would have been unacceptable."

No member of the BoD that tolerates Phoni's 'accounting' can use the word acceptable in relation to anything.
