Not sure who or what this post is about or what the replies mean either, but as a kid I used to go to the Van Dyke in Fishponds on a Saturday morning many many years ago to sing "We are the boys and girls together, minors of the ABC", throw jelly babies, cause mayhem, ignore the crap old westerns and Flash Gordons they showed, and hurl abuse at the miserable old usher in the maroon-coloured jacket who stalked the aisles shouting "Oi you! Any more of that and you're out!"
After we all ignored him a few times, the Manager would stop the film, stride on stage and threaten us all with expulsion if we didn't calm down. So we did, a bit.

And all for a tanner!
I was trying to remember the name of the usher the other day, to be fair, our behaviour was always pretty appalling.

I bet you were also in the "Ovaltinies" club and remember "Felix the Cat" - just like I do!!! Oh the good old days - Van Dyke, ABC Minors in the morning then try to get in for the film in the afternoon, open the exit doors by the loos and let your mates in!!
