Martin has flattered to deceive in some of the games but to be honest I don't think he's that bad. He gets himself into good areas and against Halifax he was putting in some tremendous crosses.
I'm impressed with the signing of Balanta and hope he can prove his worth with us. If we get him on top form he'll be incredible in this division.
I wonder who out of DM and AB will play on the right wing...?
Good luck Angelo.

They always back the manager (until they don't want to anymore) Not sure they would if they were planning to dust down the confidentiality agreement and open a box of bullets. I think everyone at the football club needs to calm down and take it one game at a time, if we are in deep trouble come November and near the trapdoor or if by November even a top 10 finish looks out of reach then i would understand it a bit more if the BoD took action and sacked DC. For the next couple of months the hysteria everytime we lose or draw needs to stop because it's draining and damaging. I think it's sad that the majority can't just back DC 100% for a couple of months, it's hardly a long time .Serious question Westcountry, do you think that a new signing would have been delivered were it not for the furore after last Saturday's game? Also, do you welcome the new signing onboard, or were you happy with the balance of the squad prior to Saturday's game?

He can also play as a striker, Martin left Ellis right Cunny up top and this bloke running free. Main concern now would be central midfield Clarke has too many poor games.

Ellis imo should only continue to be used as an impact sub against tiring defenders and certainly not as a right winger. For me, a real right winger should be top priority as a matter of urgency when the loan window opens if Gosling isn't up to it.

Also, do you welcome the new signing onboard, or were you happy with the balance of the squad prior to Saturday's game? It's one of those classic Rovers comedy moments when Nick Higgs is transformed into that bloke from the Vicar of Dibley DC. Can I sign a creative player sir ? NH. No no no no no no no no no ... Fans in uproar after Braintree performance NH. Yes But I'm welcoming the new signing because I've got some good business contacts in Colombia and will be making the most of the new connection by telling them how Rovers have specifically targeted Angelo as part of our focus on resurgent football nations such as Colombia and how we just missed out on James Rodriguez and Radamel Falcao.

Also, do you welcome the new signing onboard, or were you happy with the balance of the squad prior to Saturday's game? I'm pretty certain we've been chasing Balanta for ages and that he's been an expensive option. Dave Martin was also too expensive according to DC in a post match interview earlier in the season (he didn't say his name) but he was suddenly signed after some bad results. I'm not sure it's very healthy that there needs to a big furore in order to get new players on board, but if it can help get us some results then it's a method that can go down in the book of luck & chemistry. I actually thought the heat seemed very much away from the BoD after Saturdays result and all on DC, so it's nice to see he's being given more tools to do his job rather than a P45. People have said why do i back DC so much, the answer is I've been privy to some info from a couple of sources in the game, one an agent and the other a current pro footballer at a club up north, and they have told me things about DC which has made me want to support a manager more than i ever have, and people who know me well from the old forums know I don't have much patience with managers. I don't want to go into too much detail but from the things I've heard about his coaching ability, man management skills and football knowledge aswell as one source quoting 'incredible that's he only 36, you'd think he's been in the management game 20 years'. I really do think that now we have Balanta in, it's time to settle things down and get behind DC, the games come thick and fast this month and like i said earlier, it really isn't much to ask of the majority of those who want him out to just support him for the next 12 games, nothing is won or lost by November, and 12 games should be the minimum anyone deserves at this stage of the season, so far it's been a very up and down season, certainly not relegation form yet. I think Balanta is someone who is going to add a bit quality on the ball, something we lack, also i'm hoping he could be the flair player we are missing, and on paper when you consider he was very well thought of at MK Dons, we could have a gem on our books at just 24. With most footballers i think we need to keep him fit and build his confidence, but the squad is certainly get more packed with attacking options, and that can only be a good thing.

The BoD backing there manager, i like it. DC is here to stay ladies and gents! Good signing although he's probably going to take a few games to get match fit. Will in fit in quicker than leadbitter?

Leadbitter can't get into the team because Lockyer is doing okay at RB. Nothing more to it than that. I'd rather a bench full of attacking players who can change a game than Leadbitter on it, who unfortunately is a victim of the 5 subs rule. According to DC Leadbitter has done well in training, and with another 40 games to go i'm sure his Rovers career isn't over yet.

Ellis and Angelo upfront would be the pace and power we've been crying out for! Would surely cause problems at this level.

When the sun shines on the pie shed And the pasties are piping hot Balanta kicks the door down And he eats the bloody lot.

But was Wilson ever going to be a serious option to bring on in a tight game? Whereas Leadbitter could well have been required if we'd lost a defender. I've no idea what the position is with Leadbitter but I can't imagine DC would say he's been poor in training as well as on match day. If we do sign Turley you do wonder if Leadbitter will even make the bench regularly.

Given that Leadbitter was on the bench v Halifax it was certainly strange to see Wilson ahead of him at the weekend.

Excellent news, we've signed someone who's failed everywhere he's been, and as no FL club is interested he's grasped the straw that is Rovers.

One club since the age of 17 !! He has been out on loan to a few clubs and done well from what I have read. Looks on paper to be a good signing, let's hope he is. After all, us Rovers fans would want that surely? Second thoughts.....

Just a quick question, what is the matter with Gosling?? The guy is considered by the Non-League paper to be our star player this season when they ran the rule over all the teams back in early august!!! Is he injured, out of favour, anyone know? ?

Mate, everything I hear from this guy impresses me. Most gasheads I know think he's rubbish, but I genuinely believe he is what we need and provided we improve results fairly soon I think he will succeed.
