So before everyone jumps up and says, what sack him already, we'll we have 7 games this month 6 after today and I will be shocked if we win 2! For me he talks a good game but is absolutely clueless and I for one want to see more of a experienced coaching setup to what we have. The problem is though our board are hopeless in picking managers!

Most people on the forum know zero about how to run a football club but sadly so do the board.
It would be a scandal to have Higgs appoint another manager if Clarke goes.

I look forward to an experienced manager coming in, doing no better than the previous managers, topping up his pension fund, and then fuc*ing off into the sunset. Box 1 must be loving it tonight with DC taking all the heat off them.

We've had our opportunities though.

Looking at the upcoming fixtures
realistically I will be happy with 5 points from our next 4 games
Wrexham (H) Lincoln City (A)
Nuneaton (H) Woking (H)
anything less and I think he will go

Not sure anyone can have complaints about that.

Even if we won the next 3 at home it's likely we will still be bottom half of the table. We just stutter through every season

So for those who say the players are not good enough, and the manager is not good enough that means we need to have a new manager and new players. Which means we have to have more money to replace them . Not sure - but last time I looked we did not have two brass farthings. Can some one who wants these changes please explain how this will work? It is a conundrum no doubt.

Football is a funny game, we beat Halifax the last time we played so how can people say we have no chance of winning 2 of the next 5?

We are currently 5 points off the playoffs if we do get that down to say 1 or 2 points I believe we will become a real force in this league both at the Mem and away from home

Wow f**k me mate but you really have lowered your expectations! We won't win more than 2 games for the simple fact we are so in consistant and can't win games when it matters!

We've had our opportunities though. we have and Martin Allen always springs to mind, the bloke doesn't really care what level he coaches at It's been noticeable over recent seasons that we cannot seem to attract players of a reasonable standard (who are consistently match-fit, and unless we pay them a King's ransom of course), either permanent signings . . . or loan signings. We have had to endure a succession of nonentities, most of whom have had little interest in the club other than drawing their pay cheques. As for the managers, as a club we have attracted moderate interest (on a consistent and regular basis) all things considered, but nevertheless we have cheerfully appointed a series of duffers who in their turn have signed the nonentities. I exclude DC from this observation for the time being, as he is still obviously trying to find his feet.

managers are not going to want to come whilst fans + ex players/managers are slagging the chairman and the board

Three out of 4 away performances have been abject. Three out of three home performances have been mediocre. Wishful thinking isn't going to make it all good and it's what's got us into this mess in the first place.

I honestly can't be bothered with the whole Clarke out act this week. It's too exhausting.
Is he out of his depth? Yes, probably. But who appointed him and who will appoint the next manager?
