Just cast your minds back to Wembley stadium play off final. Two quality Richard Walker strikes and that tantalising third goal by Sammy igoe to secure the 3 1 victory over Shrewsbury Town. Makes everyone feel better I'm sure.
Don't forget we went 1 nil down on the day. Maybe expect same today but a fantastic come back and repeat scoreline.

We don't have a coracle but we do have an oracle in Matt Taylor and it's time for him to get off the fence and take proper control of this team. Get stuck in to 'em ffs!

My first home game of the season. Be good to see a win but given the last few games perhaps a draw wouldn’t be too unexpected.

That Shrewsbury team screams 'D2', doesn't it?
Dunkley is the only player who stands out. Winchester a former Sunderland player in D1. O'Brien and Bennett were fairly reasonable championship players in their day, which was a long time ago.
You can see why they are where they are in the table, and will be one of our competitors in the relegation struggle next season, if they aren't relegated in this one.
Expected/Hoped Finley and Evans would be dropped today, after their petulant response to being subbed. Concerning to see so many of the players who played against Vale starting in this game.
Would like to see McCormick and Ward get some minutes. Don't understand why Marquis is on the bench, because we surely have no intention of keeping him long term?
That is all.

Starting as he finished at PV. Shrews already wasting time. Different manager, same antics!

Hoole having a mare here, giving the ball away more than getting to his colleagues!

We are playing better than against PV, at least shooting and going forward.
In another world of challenging for promotion, Collins scoring for Bolton.

Ask him why he struggled to make the step up to L1 after being such a beast of a striker in L2, and thank him for the two glorious strikes that tamed the Shrews.

Half time 0-0 Better than Port Vale, and some battling. Not sure what's going on with Evans and Finley, but not up to their ability. A few attacking crosses from Sinclair, but not the pace he had. For a big man, Martin spending more of his time falling over and on the ground than battling in the box. Some good movement by Aguilera, but this ain't Argentina in front of him. He looks bemused at times. Shrews not really threatening although we are threatening to give it to them. A win today would be nice!
