Might as well ask the Gas Girls to play for us. At least they play for the shirt....

I have stopped wondering when we score again and am now wondering when we will shoot again. Turning into relegation candidates!

We can all speak about the mess that B***** left behind, but MT has to be doing much better with what he has.
An apology to the fans today is expected, and will presumably be forthcoming. I also expect players to be dropped for the next game, and for the clear-out to start before the end of the season.
Given the dross that has been served up in the last two games, I fully expect us to slump down to 19th or 20th this season, and anticipate that next season will be a relegation fight.

Attempt missed. Brandon Aguilera (Bristol Rovers) left footed shot from outside the box misses to the left following a corner. Wow.A shot at last.

To say these stats are an embarrassment is an understatement!

Best thing about this game was the final whistle, what a load of rubbish.

Taylor was hired to get the results that hadn’t been achieved as should have been expected with the investment made in this squad. He was hired to get us as close to the playoffs as possible. B***** apparently underperformed Taylor therefore has been worse. He’s clearly destroyed the camaraderie in the squad. Collins refused to play for him, others clearly are phoning agents to get them out of here. Why the hell do you employ someone that has just been sacked.

As Rovers failed to score at Port Vale thats 420 mins without a goal last goal scored by Chris Martin on 6 March at Leyton Orient.
Thought Aguilera showed effort and wanted the ball bearing in mind he played against Argentina and only returned from long trip from USA Thursday evening.

For me the jury has been out on MT for the last 6 weeks but I am now firmly of the opinion that he is clueless.

But don't forget Bartons final 12 matches which saw us relegated we lost 10 drew 1 and won just 1 plus failed to score in eight of those and the last five matches on the trot were lost without scoring. We finished rock bottom and went down with little fight. So remember that. B***** was given an opportunity to bring in a completely new squad. Something we must give Taylor the same opportunity.

Over the last 19 seasons, 2004-05 to 2022-23, the L1 stats for the team finishing 21st are: 51, 50, 47, 48, 49, 50, 47, 43, 48, 47, 50, 46, 49, 50, 50, 32, 47, 40 & 45.
In that sense we are probably safe from the drop, 6/7 games left we are 11 points clear and 14 points from the play-offs....
We will need a big clear out of lots of dead wood and between MT, GF and others they should be able to recruit players that can actually play football.

Just got back. I don't regret much in life but regret ignoring all the warnings about the players and still going this afternoon. That was dire. They just went through the motions. They even managed to mute the Gasheads. All people wanted was a shot and players that looked as if they cared. They got neither. We had absolutely no end product. And it's not as if Vale were brilliant. They were a below average side who fought for every ball. Over 500 Gasheads making the trip and were dealt rubbish from this unprofessional bunch of wasters. If I did my job the way they went about theirs I would be on a warning or told to get my arse in gear.
There were a few boos at the end but more out of frustration than anything else. Some of the players came over, but it felt ironic rather than thanks. I felt sorry for Aguilera, who at least tried but looked totally bewildered looking at the crowd. Imagine passionate International game against Argentina to a dire team performance in Stoke.
Matt Taylor never came over, not sure whether out of embarrassment or shame. I thought he was a good choice of manager but am losing heart with him. If he can't motivate players to put a shift in, I'm not sure he is the right man for the job. These games remind me of B*****'s first season in charge when everyone gave up. We will survive but not through the want of trying.

See Sercs was voted M O M today in Chelts away win and scored too.Why on earth did we allow him to leave? With so much mediocrity on view today,we were crying out for his quality.Chuffed Luke Leahy has left Shrews as he always plays well against us.

Big up to you and the other 500+ gasheads that went today to watch a shameless, brazen and well paid pack of so called footballers not fit the wear the shirt... MT and the backroom staff will have to work their butts off in the pre-season to acquire the players needed for a play-off challenge for next season.
